The Business Case for Child Care
About the Report
Moms can’t work without child care – period. And yet, child care too often is seen as an individual problem for families to solve. With original data developed by our knowledge partner McKinsey, we released a new report that shows amid the Great Resignation, expanded child care benefits can help companies attract, retain and advance women in the workforce.
National Business Coalition for Child Care
In light of the report’s findings and the unique opportunity for business leaders, we are launching a National Business Coalition for Child Care. Coalition members have an interest in pursuing solutions that equitably provide child care supports for employees, demonstrate willingness to take action, increase transparency by sharing their policies, data, and best practices and speak out publicly on the importance of child care to the US economic health and competitiveness and normalize the challenges of working parents.
Leading organizations including Archewell, Athletes Unlimited, Etsy, Fast Retailing, Gibson Dunn, Harvard University, Patagonia and Synchrony have already signed on.
