Should You Eat Fake Meat? Exploring Plant-Based Alternatives and Depression Risk

Plant-based meat alternatives (PBMAs) have surged in popularity, often marketed as the ethical, sustainable solution to traditional meat. But are these ultra-processed foods (UPFs) as harmless as they seem? A new study published in Food Frontiers reveals a troubling connection between PBMAs and mental health, raising important questions about their role in a vegetarian diet.

In the first study of its kind, researchers from the University of Surrey examined the health implications of PBMAs. The findings were striking: vegetarians who consumed these products experienced a 42% higher risk of depression compared to those who avoided them. Lead researcher Hana Navratilova highlighted the significance of this discovery, emphasizing the need for deeper exploration into how PBMAs may influence mood.

What sets this research apart is its focus on vegetarians—a group often assumed to have healthier diets. The study utilized data from the UK Biobank, comparing vegetarians who consumed PBMAs to those who didn’t. While no significant differences were noted in sodium, sugar, or saturated fat intake, the vegetarians consuming PBMAs exhibited other concerning markers...<<<Read More>>>...

Arla’s project adding anti-methane compound to cows’ feed is another limb of the fake food agenda

Arla has enlisted 30 farms to participate in trials of an additive to cattle feed that they claim will reduce methane gas emissions. As the safety of the product is as questionable as the dubious reasons for introducing it and the risk to humans is unknown there has quite rightly been a public backlash.

Aside from the health and environmental risks, as Dr. Lawrie highlights, this is just another instance of billionaires meddling with our food supplies. This should raise red flags for anyone who understands what, for example, Bill Gates’ aims are.

As part of its FarmAhead Customer Partnership initiative, Arla has joined forces with Morrisons, Tesco and Aldi to trial the use of Bovaer, a feed additive that reduces enteric methane emissions from cows on average by 27%. The project will also involve around 30 of Arla’s farmer owners.

Bill Gates has an unhealthy obsession with cows producing methane gas. His obsession is, of course, driven by how much money he can make out of his pandemic and climate scams. However, Newsweek reported that Bill Gates has not invested in Bovaer, he has invested in a similar bovine animal feed additive through Rumin8. Bovaer is a product developed by the Dutch company DSM-Firmenich.

Whether it is Gates, another oligarch or a large corporation attempting to corner the market and control the food supply through vaccines or feeds, the facts remain the same. There is nothing wrong with cows producing methane. On the contrary, as we noted in an article last year, methane from cattle is part of nature’s biogenic carbon cycle. Plants capture carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere, absorbing the carbon and releasing the oxygen, the carbon is converted into carbohydrates and consumed by the cow where it is digested and some of the carbon is belched from the cow as methane. After an average of 10 years, the methane is converted into CO2 and so the cycle continues....<<<Read More>>>...

Desperate lab-grown meat industry claims it needs government subsidies to survive

Lab-grown meat is proving to be a spectacular failure, and producers are becoming so desperate that many are pushing for a public subsidy to stay afloat.

Preliminary data from the venture capital firm AgFunder shows that funding in the lab meats sector fell by 78% in 2023 to reach $177 million, down from $807 million in 2022 and a peak of $989 million in 2021.

In response to the steep drop in investments, many lab meat startups have been slashing staff numbers and consolidating operations, while others are closing their doors entirely. Now, they want taxpayers to shoulder the burden of helping them right the ship after taking a chance on something that many of us knew from the start was doomed to fail.

At the Future Food-Tech Innovation Summit that was recently held in London, cultivated meat industry reps insisted that governments need to get on board.

Mosa Meat Vice President of Global Public Affairs Robert Jones warned that “[t]here’s a valley of death we’re not going to cross as an industry without a massive infusion of public investment.”

For example, Poland recently gave a 2 million euro grant to a company producing cultured meat. In 2022, the Dutch government announced it would give $65 million of public funding to support meat cultivation from cells and the production of animal-friendly dairy.

Proponents of alternative proteins have complained that the USDA has only put $124 million toward subsidizing them, while the USDA has given livestock operators subsidies of more than $59 billion....<<<Read More>>>...

Bill Gates backs startup to make fake butter from CO2; it could pave the way for food without farming

A Bill Gates-backed startup Savor says its synthetic “vegan” fat, made without livestock or the crops needed for margarine, could cut carbon emissions and save rainforests. However, no information is given on the nutritional value of or unwanted chemicals contained within the fake fat. They seem to be missing the point, perhaps deliberately so, that food is supposed to be nutritious.

“The Californian startup has gone to the basics of chemistry to build its product. According to its website, like any molecule, fat also has a fixed chemical formula. It uses carbon dioxide as a starting point to build fat molecules using heat and hydrogen,” Interesting Engineering explained without giving further details, which is not surprising as Savor’s website doesn’t seem to have any.

However, we were able to find some details about their process in a presentation given at the Good Food Institute conference held in September 2023. In a session titled ‘Commercial innovation of alternative fat ingredients’, Savor’s Director of Business Development Chiara Cecchini presented the diagram below to show the process they use to make the synthetic fats that they want us to eat.

Notice the input begins with paraffin wax and CO2. Cecchini explained: “We start from an input which is basically CO2 and green hydrogen in the form of paraffin and then we take those paraffin waxes and we basically oxidise them.”...<<<Read More>>>...

From the Ridiculous to the Sublime - "Bill Gates launches “maggot milk” to replace dairy products"

Another INSANE idea created by the totally psychotic and mentally ill Bill Gates and his seriously sick buddies .... that's if this is a true story and not a pantomime fantasy ....

+++++++++++++++++

Now that he has already gotten the ball rolling on eliminating and replacing all meat products for the slave classes, billionaire eugenicist Bill Gates is now going after milk and dairy.

Gates announced a new food-like liquid product called "EntoMilk" that he says can replace milk from animals. EntoMilk, by the way, is made from crushed up maggots.

This "dairy alternative" is made from either maggots or "black soldier fly larvae." Once blended and processed, the result is a "rich and creamy liquid which looks and acts just like dairy."

"It's got a very creamy mouthfeel," said someone in the promotional video for EntoMilk below.

According to Gates, EntoMilk is necessary because traditional dairy milk comes from farms that he claims are destroying the planet.

"The world needs alternatives to survive," the below promo further claims. "Insects are vital for the future of food because they require very little land and they don't damage the environment like livestock. They don't produce greenhouse gases." Apparently he forgot about the biblical plagues of insects that did cause quite a problem...<<<Read More>>>...

Experimental biosynthetic food to replace natural food is happening, now!

Last week Australian Kate Mason gave a presentation to the 100-year Biodynamic Conference in Sydney. She flashed document after document on the screen detailing the involvement of national and international government and corporate interests determined to alter the nature and content of our food supply.

During her presentation, Mason covered the synthetic biology and synthetic food landscape; the technologies, the tracking and tracing components, the patents and the health aspects.

Biosynthetic food products are being falsely promoted as more nutritious than organic food. None of this is backed by sound science. No biosynthetic foods have been proven to be healthy or safe.

Although most, if not all, of these projects are doomed to fail and will ultimately disappear off the menu, along the way our taxes are being diverted to pay the handsome salaries of biotechnology schemers hungry for profit and fame and boost corporate profits.

More importantly, the experimentation will leave a toxic legacy of persistent genetic pollution which will continue to undermine plant health and human longevity through the generations.

Here are some of the main take-home lessons of Mason’s detailed research into the murky world of biotechnology experimentation and promotion.

Food is being designed in labs and manufactured in biosynthetic fermentation vats and vertical farms. This involves unregulated gene editing of crops and animals using CRISPR gene editing proven to have unpredictable effects but without any requirement to label end-point foods.

Genetic modification of plant root systems to enhance carbon storage.

Synthetic meat such as lab-grown quail whose genes are forced to multiply using unspecified genetic promoters in a medium of barley containing pig genes. The synthetic quail also contains biosynthetic vitamins and added minerals to “enhance” or rather “correct” its deficient nutritional profile. This is about to be released in Australia and described as free of genetically modified organisms, or GMO-free.

Food made from insect protein whose production is robotically controlled by AI technology in giant mega factories. Yes, these factories are being built right now and they are winning plaudits and awards from UNESCO....<<<Read More>>>...

Pentagon wants to feed troops 'experimental' lab-grown meat to 'reduce CO2 footprint'

A Pentagon-funded company is seeking proposals to feed America's soldiers lab-grown meat in a bid to "reduce the CO2 footprint" at Defense Department outposts.

BioMADE, a public-private company that has received more than $500 million in funding from the Defense Department, announced earlier this month that it is seeking proposals to develop "innovations in food production that reduce the CO2 footprint of food production at ... DoD operational environments," according to an online announcement.

These include "novel cell culture methods suitable for the production of cultivated meat/protein," or lab-grown meat, a product that is still in its experimental phases. This type of meat is grown in a lab from animal cells with the aid of other chemicals, and has emerged as a flashpoint in debates about the efficacy and morality of manufacturing meat products without slaughtering animals...<<<Read More>>>...

Bill Gates: You can either fix cows to stop their emissions, or you can make beef without the cow

Naff off Bill. You have no authority over us. Go back to your vermin masters and leave us alone. Your BS has become boring.

+++++++++++

Last year self-appointed globalist technocrat Bill Gates said that 6% of global emissions are from cows. “You can either fix the cows to stop them doing that, or you can make beef without the cow,” he said.

To reduce emissions, he said, for richer nations the only solution was synthetic protein alternatives and “for Africa and other poor countries, we’ll have to use animal genetics.”

Although this is last year’s news, we are reminding readers what Gates and his cronies aim to do.

In January 2023, Gates spouted his non-expert opinion on Reddit about global warming goals which was then amplified by corporate media. CNBC was one of Gates’ foghorns:

The world will not be able to avoid overshooting the goal established in the 2015 Paris Climate Accord to limit global warming to, ideally, 1.5 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels, Bill Gates told Reddit users.

A week later, the self-appointed expert on global warming joined the Lowy Institute, an Australian think tank.

On 23 January 2023, Lowy Institute hosted Bill Gates for an “in-person conversation” with Lowy Institute Executive Director Michael Fullilove about global health, pandemic preparedness, food security and climate change.

Lowy Institute described Gates as a philanthropist, technologist, innovator and investor. It’s fantastically bizarre how far removed from public opinion self-styled elites are. While there is no doubt that he is an investor, there can’t be many in the world who think Gates is a philanthropist, technologist or innovator. Neither do we think he is an expert in global health, pandemic preparedness, food security or climate change so why any self-respecting think tank would waste their time asking for Gates’ non-opinion is beyond our understanding.

Nevertheless, the Lowly Institute gave Gates 60 minutes of airtime. And Gates did what Gates always does, marketed his latest scheme.

“The opportunities created by a world that is getting rid of greenhouse gas emissions – Australia is rare in that the opportunities exceed the things you have to give up – you have to give up a large part of the, and eventually almost all of the, coal mining activity, uh you know what happens with beef,” Gates told Fullilove....<<<Read More>>>...

Lab-grown “meat” produces 25x more carbon dioxide “pollution” than traditional animal husbandry

Despite claims that it is better for the environment than real meat, laboratory-grown fake “meat” produces 25 times more carbon dioxide (CO2) “pollution” than traditional animal husbandry, new research shows.

Every kilogram of lab-grown meat generates anywhere from 542 pounds (246 kg) to 3,325 pounds (1,508 kg) of CO2 emissions, rendering it anywhere from four to 25 times more harmful to the environment, based on global warming rhetoric, than conventional beef.

From “cradle to gate,” as they call it, the process of culturing and growing fake meat in a lab is far more energy intensive than simply letting real animals roam on natural pastures eating grasses and producing meat the natural way.

Lab-grown meat is great for the corporations that produce it, along with their shareholders, but it is anything but good for the natural environment.

“While the fake meat industry is being touted as an environmentally friendly and sustainable way to feed the world, the true intent is to recreate the kind of global control that Monsanto and others achieved through patented GMO seed development,” writes Dr. Joseph Mercola.

“In the end, lab-created meats are worse for the environment than livestock and will undoubtedly deteriorate human health to boot, just like GMO grains have.”...<<<Read More>>>...

The Fake ‘Food as Medicine’ Agenda

The food supply is under attack. Whether it be from technocrats waging a war against real food, regulations that threaten food sovereignty or the use of toxic chemicals, humans’ right to access unadulterated, healthy food is slipping away.

The Attack on Food Symposium, hosted by Dr. Meryl Nass and presented by Children’s Health Defense TV, brought together experts, including me, from a variety of disciplines to discuss the pressing topic of food security and provide solutions at the individual and societal levels. You can view the seven-hour event in its entirety and my individual presentation below.

Beginning at 3:30 in the video above, my presentation — “The Fake ‘Food as Medicine’ Agenda & Synthetic Foods” — focused on attacks on food and agriculture. There’s an impending crisis coming with The Great Reset, and food is going to be a real issue — even more so than it is now.

The globalists behind The Great Reset have long had a monopoly on food with their patented genetically modified organisms (GMOs). The primary purpose of GMOs was to facilitate the use of the toxic herbicide glyphosate,1 which Stephanie Seneff, Ph.D., a senior research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), presents in the next section of the symposium video. But to understand what’s coming, it’s important to understand the past.

The biotech industry used lobbying to ensure GMOs would be treated as substantially equivalent to real food, essentially bypassing the requirement to do safety testing before releasing them on the market. Their playbook is reminiscent of Big Tobacco’s tactics for a product that doesn’t harm you immediately but is detrimental gradually over time. An equally serious threat as GMOs has now emerged, however — synthetic food. Fake food is predicted to become a $3 trillion market. Sometimes referred to in industry jargon as “the bio revolution” or synbio (short for synthetic biology), consulting firm McKinsey & Company predicted that 60% of all materials in the economy could be produced this way, including fake meat, fake milk and fake fat....<<<Read More>>>...

Bill Gates bankrolls cancer-causing fake meat

Globalist and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has invested in and pushed for the consumption of fake meat, which can possibly cause cancer due to the ingredients used to make it.

The technocrat expressed his desire for everyone to eat fake meat as a “climate-friendly” alternative to the real thing. During an interview with the MIT Technology Review, Gates remarked that people’s behaviors should be changed to make them like lab-grown meat. He stressed that regulations could strong-arm people into eating the frankenfood items.

“I do think all rich countries should move to 100 percent synthetic beef,” Gates told the Review. “You can get used to the taste difference, and the claim is they’re going to make it taste even better over time.”

The Microsoft co-founder also pointed to various proposals that ban the deceptive practice of labeling lab-grown meat as the real thing. He said: “There are all these bills that say it’s got to be called, basically, lab garbage to be sold. They don’t want us to use the beef label.”

Interestingly, the Daily Expose stated that Gates is an investor in both Memphis Meats and Impossible Foods. In the case of the latter, he joined Google and Amazon bigwig Jeff Bezos in bankrolling the venture. Aside from fake meat, Gates also backed the startup Biomilq which seeks to develop lab-cultured breast milk.

Despite his big money bankrolling Impossible Foods, the free market has spoken and declared that the real thing is better than the artificially-made version. This translated to lower profits, leading Impossible Foods to implement cost-cutting measures....<<<Read More>>>..

FDA declares lab-grown chicken ‘safe to eat’ — but scientists, food safety advocates have questions

Describing the development as “a food revolution,” the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Wednesday declared lab-grown chicken meat developed by Berkeley, California-based food-tech firm Upside Foods is safe for human consumption.

Upside Foods “will use animal cell culture technology to take living cells from chickens and grow the cells in a controlled environment to make the cultured animal cell food,” the FDA said.

The news — widely reported as an FDA “approval” of lab-grown meat — signifies the completion of the first, and biggest, of the three regulatory steps Upside Foods must complete before its “cultivated” chicken attains full approval and can be sold to the public, according to TIME.

Although two more steps must follow before the FDA can grant the product full approval, the agency’s language suggests the approval is a foregone conclusion....<<<Read More>>>

Consumers REJECT Beyond Meat fake processed imitation meat products; company massively downsizing

Things are not looking good – at all – for Beyond Meat, which reported a wider-than-expected loss for its third quarter. The company has been struggling for a while amid plummeting demand for fake meat products – it turns out most people want the real thing.

Quarter over quarter, Beyond Meat’s losses have been compounding. And this latest quarter is no exception, though the company’s most recent losses were higher than analysts expected.

CEO Ethan Brown called the results “disappointing,” claiming that the reason people are not buying fake meat is because it costs more than “cheaper proteins.”

The day of third quarter earnings, Beyond Meat’s stock price plummeted by nine percent. In after-hours, Beyond Meat shares traded relatively flat after falling throughout the day..<<<Read More>>>...

The rise and fall of Beyond Meat

It looks like it is game over for the Beyond Meat fake food company, which saw its stock crash amid widespread disinterest in fake meat products. After going public in 2019, the Bill Gates-invested company saw a quick pop followed by a stead decline. The Beyond Meat share price at the time reached a high of $234. As of this writing, Beyond Meat shares are trading for $15.90 a pop.

What went wrong? Well, for one, the vast majority of human beings crave real meat from animals. They are not interested in a lab-concocted abomination of chemicals, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and other questionable ingredients.

Second, Beyond Meat’s claim to fame that it had developed a “climate friendly” alternative to real meat means very little now that the world is waking up to the climate change scam.

Try as it most certainly did to paint environmentalism across the brand, Beyond Meat is now “beyond hope,” to quote an article in The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) that documents the company’s rise and fall into oblivion.

“Beyond Meat was inundated with initial-public-offering cash, and its products began appearing in restaurants and on grocery shelves,” writes Andrew Boucher. “You can find Beyond Meat burgers, breakfast sausages, brats, Italian sausages and something called ‘Beefy Crumbles’ at Walmart.”

“Beyond Meat jerky even started showing up in convenience stores next to the real beef jerky, corn nuts and pork rinds. McDonald’s introduced the McPlant … The question that many investors, cheerleaders or financial analysts apparently didn’t bother to ask: Who’s going to eat this?”...<<<Read More>>>....

Nobody wants to eat fake Beyond Meat burgers, McDonald’s discovers

You will no longer find artificial meat patties at McDonald’s now that the fast-food chain has scrapped a pilot program involving Beyond Meat.

It turns out that Americans still prefer to eat ‘all beef patties’ of real meat from animals as opposed to the lab-concocted abomination known as Beyond Meat, a company in which billionaire eugenicist Bill Gates is heavily invested.

A trial of the “plant-based” patties at some McDonald’s restaurants failed miserably we are told. Nobody ordered the so-called McPlant burger, which is apparently even more disgusting than the fast-food chain’s regular burgers.

McDonald’s had signed a three-year global distribution deal with Beyond Meat back in 2021. It appears as though that deal was cut short because customers simply do not want to eat synthetic meat made from genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and other toxic chemicals.

According to Ken Goldman, an analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co., “the product did not sell well enough” to keep it going. The financial news site The Fly joked that Beyond Meat is “McDone” as far as McDonald’s is concerned.

McDonald’s is not the only company that adopted Beyond Meat only to later abandon it. The full gamut of Yum! Brands companies, including KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, have all thrown Beyond Meat out the window after failed trials at its stores....<<<Read More>>>...

How Britain’s farms are being devastated by corporate giants covering up their carbon footprint – by planting millions of trees on fields grazed by sheep for centuries

Steeped in the rural traditions that have sustained their families for generations, Ian and Rhiannon O’Connor have long dreamed of owning their own farm.

Like many of those who came before them, the couple planned to raise sheep and cattle on the rolling pastureland of Carmarthenshire – a worthwhile ambition, you might think, with Britain’s food supplies under ever-growing pressure, prices rising rapidly and farmers warning of a looming catastrophe.

Sadly, there has been no happy ending for Ian, Rhiannon and their three small children. Their attempt to buy 260 acres at Frongoch Farm came to nothing when they were outbid, not by fellow farmers, but by a giant private equity firm based 160 miles away in the City of London.

A firm that intends to cover the farm with nothing more edible than trees.

Up and down Britain, the price of agricultural land is soaring as financiers and corporations attempt to ‘offset’ their carbon emissions by snapping up farmland and covering it with forest to soak up carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

From Yorkshire to Shropshire, Somerset and Devon, farmers and land agents report that farm after farm has been converted to woodland at the behest of major companies, charities, wealthy landowners and celebrities.

This is on top of other environmental projects such as ‘rewilding’, which are also eating into Britain’s capacity to grow food.

Heathrow Airport, Marks & Spencer, lingerie brand Ann Summers, funeral provider Dignitas and High Street bank TSB have all backed tree-planting schemes to compensate for the pollution they cause. Music label Universal – home to Rod Stewart and The Rolling Stones – is planting trees on sheep pasture in Cumbria....<<<Read More>>>...

Supply Chain Problems Will Persist Because the System is Being Sabotaged

In a recent interview with Bloomberg, the executive vice president of UPS asserted that “regionalization” of the supply chain is critical to economic stability as geopolitcal conflicts expand. The word “regionalization” is basically a code word to describe decentralization, a concept which the UPS representative obviously did not want to dive into directly.

Almost every trade expert and industry insider is admitting that supply chain problems are going to persist into the foreseeable future, and some are starting to also admit (in a roundabout way) that localized production and trade models are the key to survival.

This is something that I and many other alternative economists have been talking about for a decade or more. The globalist dynamic of interdependency is a disaster waiting to happen, and now it’s happening. Without decentralized mining of raw materials, local manufacturing, locally sourced goods, local food production and locally integrated trade networks there can be no true stability. All it takes for the system to implode is one or two crisis events and the economy’s ability to meet public demand stagnates. The system doesn’t completely stop, but it does slowly shrivel and degrade.

The war in Ukraine has been the go-to scapegoat the past few months for supply chain disruptions, but these issues started long before that. Years of central bank stimulus and fiat money creation have triggered the inevitable landslide of inflation/stagflation that alternative economists have been warning about....<<<Read More>>>....

UK To Breed Climate Resistant Crops To Ensure Food Security

The Environment Secretary George Eustice has said that the UK will lead a revolution in developing climate change resistant crops. Writing in The Telegraph, Eustice said that gene editing technology is vital to ensure food security.

Eustice wrote:

“Global gas prices have led to increased input costs for farmers across the UK and indeed the wider world, particularly for manufactured fertilisers, livestock feed, energy and fuel. We need to look at the full range of solutions that are available to us, and we must work alongside our world-leading agricultural research institutes to do so. Through these technologies, we will have the power to develop crops that are more resistant to pests and diseases, less reliant on fertilisers and pesticides – which will cut costs to farmers – and more resilient to climate change. With water scarcity likely to become an increasing issue around the world, the ability to develop plants that cope better with water stress will be vital for global food security.”

The UK government has tabled a bill to allow farms grow more gene edited crops that will be more resistant to disease and need less water.

According to The Telegraph:

The Genetic Technology (Precision Breeding) Bill has been presented to Parliament and it is hoped that it will be made law later this year with the first gene-edited foods on supermarket shelves by next year. The Bill was outlined in the Queen’s Speech and is designed to “remove unnecessary barriers inherited from the EU” as well as boosting food production in the UK. The use of the technology was initially scuppered by a 2018 ruling from the European Court of Justice that determined it should be regulated in the same way as genetic modification (GM).

It was inevitable that food containing genetically modified/gene edited ingredients would end up in UK supermarkets.

There will be no political resistance to it. (Richie Allen)

Britain using Ukraine conflict as excuse to push for legalizing gene-edited Frankenfood

Genetically engineered food is heavily restricted in the United Kingdom, and for good reason. But a new bill being pushed in Parliament right now could sidestep these restrictions using the Ukraine conflict as an excuse.

Gene-edited crops differ from standard genetically modified organisms, or GMOs, in that their own DNA code is modified as opposed to be spliced with foreign DNA. And British politicians are attempting to exploit this by claiming that gene-edited crops are excluded from their country’s strict GMO regulations.

Entitled the “Genetic Technology” bill, the legislation was first introduced on Wednesday. It is described by the UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs as a way to “cut red tape and support the development of innovative tech to grow more resistant, more nutritious and more productive crops.” “These precision technologies allow us to speed up the breeding of plants that have natural resistance to diseases and better use of soil nutrients so we can have higher yields with fewer pesticides and fertilizers,” added Environment Secretary George Eustice, who is heavily pushing the bill. “Outside the European Union (EU), we are free to follow the science.” ...<<<Read More>>>....
