City Island Delicatessan

This is our go-to spot on the island. Always friendly, always fresh, fast delivery. What's not to love about this local spot. I order from Augie's on average no less than 3 meals a week to feed myself and my family. Here are my faves:

Breakfast:
Breakfast sandwiches come with free coffee. Order double egg since they use real eggs, none of that fake stuff from a carton.

Lunch:
A slice of cheese pizza has thin crust and plenty of cheese and is so large it's hard to hold even folded in half. The cheesesteak is also one of the best I've had. Get the hero and feel totally gluttonous with seasoned curly fries. Or, make your own deli sandwich or choose one off their extensive menu.

Dinner:
Hands down the Chicken Parmesan dinner. Comes with a side of pasta and crusty Italian bread. On the pricier side of the menu but feeds 2 with leftovers. Also: new favorite: Penne with Broccoli and garlic, add grilled chicken. My very picky 3 year old practically licked the plate clean.

Only downside is minimal seating options. Best for takeout.

Great authentic Bronx pizza. Dinner choices are excellent with specials. Thanksgiving dinner is the best deal and everything is delicious. Also st Patrick's corned beef is amazing. They will make any sandwich you you can imagine for lunch. My French guests love the NY egg sandwiches that come with free coffee for 3-4 bucks. And, the owner Augie and his staff are very friendly.

This place is awesome. I dropped a big order on them and they turned it around really quickly. The sandwiches are on point.

Augie's City Island Deli is a small hole in the wall type of place. They have all the bodega stuff and also a great deli. The food is good, and the guys there are friendly. Prices are good as well.

Yum !! Love their steak! I am really serious about food and their food is the best food I ever ate! They should make more of this restaurant around the world !
