- After college, Harris spent time in Italy trying to be a painter like his friends. "I was very bad," he says.
- In 1980, he collapsed on stage from exhaustion while performing at the end of the first act in a Broadway play in front of a live audience; he had been struggling to keep said play from closing.

- Has been in two movies about drug trafficking: Scarface (1983) & Clear and Present Danger (1994). He has also been in two movies about police corruption: Again, Scarface (1983) (as Bernstein, where he WAS the crooked cop) & Training Day (2001).
