This week, we announced the acquisition of the Shtip wind farm in North Macedonia, granting us the rights to build an additional 400MW of wind capacity in the Western Balkans.   The day was a tremendous success. Wouldn't it be great if countries that are fossil fuel energy importers could become renewable energy exporters? We are thrilled to take a step in this direction this week by announcing our acquisition of Shtip here in Macedonia, giving Alcazar Energy Partners the rights to build an additional up to 400MW of wind capacity in the Western Balkans. We would also like to thank the Government of Macedonia and Prime Minister Mr. Hristijan Mickoski for welcoming us to their country. Today, we are excited to announce the acquisition of Shtip in North Macedonia, which gives us the rights to develop and build an additional up to 400MW of wind capacity in the Western Balkans! This groundbreaking project will help reduce CO2 emissions by 670,000 tons each year and, once built, will generate enough clean energy to power over 100,000 households annually. This project will play a pivotal role in enhancing the energy security of the #Westernbalkans, mitigating energy shortages and bolstering the transition to renewable energy across the region. Speaking at the launch in Skopje, our Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Daniel Calderon, highlighted the significant impact of this investment: “This project will provide North Macedonia with much-needed clean and affordable electricity while also creating lasting local jobs. We are humbled and grateful for the support of Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and his government.
