🚄 During the NATO Force Integration Unit Lithuania’s visit to the #RailBaltica construction site, we spoke with the Unit’s Commander Colonel Peter Nielsen (Danish Armed Forces). “Military logistics is the backbone of military operations. We need established infrastructure to mobilize our forces, which also serves as a deterrent. For civilian enterprises, infrastructure is equally crucial as it enables them to establish operations and create jobs,“ shared Colonel Nielsen. Justas Vyzintas, Head of Rail Baltica Management at LTG Infra, also shared insights on the importance of Rail Baltica's collaboration with #NATO. Gediminas Seckus, Chief Resilience Officer at LTG Group, provided details on the FREE Rail program. 🎥 Watch the full interview in the video below! 👇 #LTGInfra #Infrastructure #Security #EUProjects #BalticStates #FreeRail

  • 🖊️🤝 An additional funding agreement has been signed with the CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. 🚄 The #RailBaltica project has been granted an additional €1.16 billion in funding, bringing the total to €1.43 billion, together with national funding from the three Baltic States. Of this, €529 million has been allocated for the Lithuanian part of the project. 💬 "The project, which has successfully gathered momentum, is appreciated and supported at an international level to connect the Baltics with Western and Central Europe. The continued support makes it possible to implement the project on schedule and achieve the long-term strategic goals of LTG Group, the Baltic States and the EU," said Egidijus Lazauskas, CEO of LTG Group. 📈 Compared to 2023, 60% more construction work has been done between January and the end of September this year. "The increase in the summer period reached its peak in autumn. This is a joint contribution of the contractor, LTG Infra and the Rail Baltica team to maximise the speed of the project," said Vytis Zalimas, CEO of LTG Infra. This was the biggest call for transport infrastructure financing to date. Read more 👉 https://lnkd.in/dWx5rE5a #CEFTransport #FutureInTrain #LTGInfra #Infrastructure

  • 🚆✨ #NATO Visits the #RailBaltica Construction Site The NATO Force Integration Unit Lithuania visited Rail Baltica’s construction site in Jonava to review project progress and discuss its significance for military mobility infrastructure. 🔹 Commander Colonel Peter Nielsen (Danish Armed Forces) emphasized that Rail Baltica is more than a civilian project: “When faced with a military threat, Lithuania's security directly depends on the speed of deployment of NATO allies. Military mobility serves primarily as a deterrent. However, the benefits derived from it – in the form of a well-developed national transport infrastructure – are for the benefit of society as a whole”. 🔹 A Vital Project for Military Mobility and Regional Security: “Since 2019, the number of NATO military trains arriving in Lithuania has increased each year. The demand for this infrastructure is high and mutual,” noted LTG Group CEO Egidijus Lazauskas. 🔹 The FREE Rail Program: “By becoming an integral part of the European railway system, we are changing elements that have been historically inherited: standards, operational rules, IT systems and technologies,” said Gediminas Seckus, CRO of LTG. 🔹 Justas Vyzintas, Head of Rail Baltica Management at LTG Infra thanked the Colonel for the visit: “This cooperation between Rail Baltica and NATO strengthens regional security and connectivity, underlining our commitment to resilience, rapid response and a united defence”. 🔹 During the visit, Mindaugas BIRGIOLA, Head of Development and Management at LTG Infra, presented current military mobility infrastructure projects, and Vladislav Logunovič, Project Transport Manager at LTG Cargo, current military cargo transport capabilities in Lithuania. • 🌍🚄 Connecting Europe through High-Speed Rail: we are honored to have LTG Infra CEO Vytis Zalimas joining leading railway representatives at the International High-Speed Railway Development Conference in Łódź. 💬 As Vytis Žalimas highlighted, connecting to Western Europe through #HighSpeedRail is not just about improving travel times; it’s about building a stronger, unified Europe. “When we close the missing links in our networks, we unlock key economic benefits, strengthen regional security, enhance road safety and regional development. High-speed rail is a vital element in our shared commitment to sustainable and resilient infrastructure,” he said. As Baltic countries, Poland and central Europe focuses on connecting with the Western Europe, Žalimas emphasizes the importance of cohesive and efficient railway network.  🌐 “The development of high-speed lines to the west is a priority, and we should work at all levels to persuade our neighbors not to forget the eastern route with #RailBaltica. As we implement the EU's TEN-T vision, we need to remember that only by connecting all regions can we realize the full potential of the European transport network. Each part of the European rail network has a unique value and if we miss any one of them we risk losing values that benefit Europe as a whole,” said CEO of LTG Infra, Rail Baltica implementing body in Lithuania. #TEN_T #SustainableTransport #ConnectingEurope

🚆✨ 50,000 tons of railway ballast arrived in Lithuania! The first shipment of 50,000 tons of railway ballast from Sweden has arrived to support the 8.8 km #RailBaltica stretch between Šveicarija and Žeimiai. This delivery, transported by sea to Klaipėda, will later be delivered to the Rail Baltica construction site in Jonava. 💬 According to Egidijus Lazauskas, CEO of LTG Group, this shipment marks a symbolic step in the Rail Baltica project: “The arrival of materials signifies our readiness to move to the next construction phase – the upper track structure installation. We can finally see the project taking tangible shape in Lithuania”. In total, 86,200 tons of ballast will be required for this segment, with the remaining 36,200 tons expected by the end of November. 💬 “By the end of the year, we anticipate the first delivery of rails, with sleepers already in production. Efficient material supply is crucial for keeping up the pace of the project,” said Vytis Zalimas, CEO of LTG Infra. We are proud of the teamwork demonstrated throughout this project. A huge thank you goes to our Senior Project Manager Andrejus Dunajevas, Project Manager Olegas Dergunovas, Strategic Procurement Project Manager Jurgita Kuklieriene, Technology Procurement Project Manager Indrė Daugialienė, and Senior Lawyer Gediminas Gecevičius. 👏 Learn more about the project and our progress 👉 https://lnkd.in/dnp-biTZ #LTGInfra #Railway #Infrastructure #EUProjects #BalticRail

  • 🚆🛫 Infrastructure giants Lithuanian Airports and #RailBaltica teams met for an informal talk to discuss the procurement and success stories of major projects. 📈 Currently, the airport's main focus is on the completion of a new departures terminal, designed to double its capacity. Once the terminal becomes operational in February 2025, further reconstruction work will begin. Accelerating procurement and construction is a priority for the Rail Baltica project, which has moved into active #construction. The meeting also discussed future investments in anticipation of the Lithuanian market capacity. 🌐 Simonas Bartkus, CEO of Lithuanian Airports and Justas Vyzintas, LTG Infra Head for Rail Baltica Management, agreed that the successful implementation of #infrastructure projects usually depends on several key factors: a professional team, an experienced contractor, dialogue between them and the stakeholders, and support from the public in the development of the infrastructure that improves our connectivity. From left: Antanas Kučikas, Head of Strategic Procurement at LTG, Indrė Bivainytė, Head of Public Procurement at Lithuanian Airports, J. Vyžintas and S. Bartkus. We thank our colleagues with whom we are building Lithuania's infrastructure and sharing our experience in implementing it. 🤝 #Collaboration #SuccessStories #VilniusInternationalAirport #Lithuania #Baltics

🚆 #RailBaltica Progress We’re excited to share the latest developments from the Rail Baltica construction site in Jonava district. Drone footage captured the transformation over the past few months, showcasing the incredible progress made since June. 🔧 Contractors are currently working on 40 different structures, including viaducts, bridges, and other key engineering components. Many of these are nearing completion. 🌉 On a 10-km stretch, the contractor is about to finish concreting the overlays of all bridges. Earthworks for the railway embankment are progressing smoothly. Additionally, at the Neris Bridge, the installation of sheet piles has begun, with concrete pouring for the pile heads starting soon. LTG Infra has also signed another contract for an additional 17.1 km of embankment construction, further expanding the project’s scope. As long as weather conditions allow, we aim to maintain the pace through the end of the year. Each day brings us closer to delivering a modern, sustainable, and efficient railway system.
