Last week, our 20 daring health start-ups from the Validation Track began their bootcamp journey.🚀 Dóra Marosvölgyi & Faustine Felici gave them the lowdown on cracking the code of EU funding—a crucial step for any founder aiming to scale in the European market. Meanwhile, Andrew B. pulled back the curtain on how VCs think, revealing the key metrics and stories that grab investor attention. No bootcamp would be complete without mastering the art of persuasion and pitching essentials. Thanks to Angéla Gusztos session, the founders might understand how to pitch with clarity, passion and purpose.  Her guidance not only improved their storytelling but also their ability to translate complex health innovations into investor-ready language. Enter Peter Hajdu, who equipped our founders with public speaking tricks to command any stage. And let’s not forget Mary Alcantara, who shared invaluable networking and mentoring tactics—two cornerstones for building sustainable start-up ecosystems. An essential part of the journey was the eHTA workshops delivered by Syreon Research Institute. Understanding the importance of real-world health impact from the start, these sessions helped the start-ups gauge the value of their solutions in clinical and market settings. This bootcamp wasn’t just about perfecting the pitch. It’s the first building block in the foundation of their business journey. Now armed with insights and practical knowledge, these start-ups are on their way to taking the health innovation world by storm. Next stop? April is the beginning of a new chapter in my professional career. After many years in various-sized companies and huge global corporations, I spent almost five in remote-first AI startups I co-founded. In the meantime, I have seen many benefits of remote work - saving time on the daily commute (up to 2 hours if you live in a 'big city'), increased motivation and energy in my team members and myself, and getting the best results from the 'resources' we had - as everyone could work in their preferred conditions (time and place). I believe the key to this remote setup is high enough motivation. If it is in place - then the only thing you need to care about is the quality of the delivered results. It establishes trust in the team. This is a key component in high-performing ones. In contrast to bloated teams which deliver in six months what could be realized in just two, with a proper setup. In recent weeks I have spoken to many interesting people all over the world to define what my next chapter will be. >> I decided for the first time, to start working in FRACTIONAL roles and discover where it would lead me. Will it add another level of productivity and satisfaction? I want to find out. It can also be a flexible way to start cooperation with some teams without needing to negotiate full-time terms upfront - and check in practice if there is a strong MATCH between the company and one of its potential key contributors. I have been working in IT for nearly two decades, as a (Product, Team, R&D, Engineering, and Company) Manager, combining technical and business skills and gaining valuable experiences. I am happy to announce that the first company to hire my brain/knowledge/skills is DiaWiser - co-founded by Monika Fetingyte and Dr. Sina Zare. I really enjoyed the product vision they have defined (a daily AI assistant for people with diabetes) and all our conversations since we met. As a Fractional CTO, in the following months, I will help their wonderful team define the right strategic directions and achieve the goal of producing an outstanding (and medically accurate) AI assistant.
