1) Helping Hand Movers
Helping Hand Movers is the most highly-rated moving company in Naples, according to our scoring system. With hundreds of stellar reviews across Google, Yelp, and Angi, as well as friendly customer service and strong employee retention, Helping Hand Movers is worth consideration if you're moving in Florida.
Helping Hand Movers was started in 2013 by Diana and their husband Patrick O'Halloran. They started as a four-person team, loading and unloading rental trucks and containers. "Very basic stuff," according to Diana O'Halloran. The company grew organically, with the team learning the business "from the ground up." Helping Hand continues to operate out of Naples, and it's now grown to include three 26-foot moving trucks and a moving van.
According to O'Halloran, more than 70% of the moving crew has been with the company for six or seven years, and others for 10 years or more. It's a "steady crew" that sticks around thanks to a "small family atmosphere," O'Halloran says. Helping hand runs background checks on all potential hires.
Great movers. Owner gave me a bid price he honored. Visited our home pre-move and gave us helpful suggestions. Moving crew was courteous and professional. They worked efficiently as a team and were respectful to each other and us. Excellent drop off and placed furniture exactly where we requested. Great value all around. Thank you. — Chuck Rogers, Google Reviews (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Helping Hand Movers is available seven days a week and charges the same fee no matter the day. For a job requiring three movers and a truck — the norm for a standard two- or three-bedroom move — our quote was $195 per hour. There's also a $95 service fee for travel to and from the job site. The company requests a deposit based on the size of the job before it begins work.
Helping Hand is licensed throughout Florida and offers a wide range of services. Residential and commercial moving is its primary focus, with senior relocation, in-home packing and unpacking, in-home furniture moving, and specialty item moving also on the bill. The company loads and unloads rental trucks and containers, and it recently started a "White Glove" delivery service for antiques and specialty items that require extra care. It rents climate-controlled storage from a third-party company if required.
Although it does not offer long-distance moves, O'Halloran says the company hopes to resume out-of-state service in the next six months.

Jay and his crew were awesome!! We had 4 movers and two trucks for an in town move to the storage. All of the movers were professional and friendly. They showed up on time and worked hard until the job was complete. One month later when our new house was ready, they load the two trucks again. They were very efficient and fast, and took good care of our furniture. Nothing was damaged! Thank you! Highly recommended!! — Angela B., Yelp Reviews (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)

The company has 12 trucks and employs 10 to 15 movers "on a busy day," Stready says. All full-time employees receive background checks, though most of the movers work by contract.
From the moment of the first meeting with owner, Tim, I was made to feel confident as, let’s face it, moving to a different state can be daunting. But Cassandra the Office Mgr, was always there for me with her friendly, understanding and competent handling of the different issues that arose. 5) Reed's Moving & Storage
Naples natives Shannon and Issac Reed started Reed's Moving & Storage in 2014. Shannon Reed says they "started with $75 and a dream" 10 years ago, renting a truck for the first year and a half and relying on their two sons to help with the business. The company built a fleet of 11 trucks and 20 movers, but in September of 2022 Hurricane Ian "took all 11 trucks" and forced some employees to seek new opportunities elsewhere, Reed says. Reed's Moving & Storage has since recovered, climbing back to seven trucks and 15 qualified movers today.
When asked if employees receive background checks, Reed said she's personally known her movers or their families for most of their lives. That's the benefit of being in Naples for six generations on Shannon's side and four generations on Issac's side, according to Reed.
Whereas most moving companies tack on travel fees, Reed's Moving & Storage forgoes the charge and offers an hourly rate for local services. Our quote was $175 per hour for three movers and a truck, enough to handle two- or three-bedroom moves. A deposit equal to the cost of one hour of work is required for local moves. The company is available seven days a week, and Reed says next-day local service is often available. Reed's Moving requests at least two weeks' notice for long-distance moves.
5-star service. The office was efficient and accurate. They even reached out to us proactively to let us know we could move at an earlier, more optimal time. The gentlemen who moved us were meticulous and quick and didn't ruin a thing. I wholeheartedly recommend this service. — Debbie Williams, Google Reviews (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)

6) Trend Moving & Storage
Trend Moving & Storage was formed in New Hampshire in 2016, and it has since expanded into Florida with a location in Fort Myers. That means it has Naples covered, and it promises service up and down the East Coast thanks to Department of Transportation (DOT) licensing and a team of moving pros — all receive background checks — familiar with interstate service. Trend handles local moves, but its four-hour move minimum pricing makes it a better option for long-distance or large moves.
Trend handles residential (apartments and condos) and commercial moves, it will pack and unpack your goods, and it'll even handle large items like pianos, clocks, appliances, and gym equipment. Storage in climate-controlled vaults is available to keep your belongings safe during or following a move.
From the initial phone call (shout out to Ben) to completion of the move, everyone at Trend was so communicative. The movers who helped me, DaRayus, Alvaro, and Isaac were not only professional, but so efficient and took such great care of all my stuff. I would highly recommend Trend to ANYONE! — Alexis Franzi, Google Reviews (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Trend is a large company with a toll-free customer service setup; what it lacks in personal touches it makes up for in quick information and quote turnarounds, based on our experience. We spoke with a representative to get an idea of pricing. Trend charges hourly for local moves, including the time it takes to travel from Fort Myers to Naples. Our quote was $165 per hour for three movers, plus a flat $250 fee for the truck. Trend's four-hour minimum charge results in costs of at least $910 for a move. Any time after the four-hour minimum is rounded to the nearest quarter-hour. A $200 deposit is required for local moves; long-distance moves require 20% of the total estimate.
A company coordinator handles long-distance moves individually, but Trend usually charges by the space taken up on the moving truck. A move from Naples to New Hampshire, or roughly 1,500 miles, would cost between $12,000 and $16,000 for a full truck, according to a company representative.
You can call Trend's toll-free line at 855-509-6683 or visit its website to request your free estimate.

Super great company! Reached out to them via Yelp and had the movers here two hours later! When I reached out to other companies they demanded $375 or more for the same job, that took a total of 40 min. Affordable was very reasonable about pricing, rather than sending us generic pricing and a demand for minimum hours order, they created a custom quote! They moved a very important piano for us, and worked efficiently and quickly to ensure it was done. Not only that, it was done safely— and without harm to the item. Great service over all, and superior customer service. I recommend them to anyone in need of help! — Grace L., Yelp Reviews (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)

No minimum amount of hours is required, but a deposit is necessary and is based on the size of the job. As for long-distance moves, charges are calculated by "time and material," according to Ramos.

It is over 150 years old and the technicians took great care with the handling of the grandfather clock. Great job and well done. — Ralph Anderson, Google Reviews (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)

9) College Hunks Naples
College HUNKS Moving began as a summer gig for cofounders Omar Soliman and Nick Friedman to make some extra money on the side, and it was officially established in 2003. In the 21 years since its inception, it expanded from a junk-hauling business into a comprehensive international moving service with more than 200 franchise locations in the U.S. and Southern Canada. If you plan on a long-distance move to or from Naples, College HUNKS may well offer the best coverage.
The company will move you on weekdays and weekends but with slightly different pricing. A customer service representative told us its weekday rate is $220 per hour for three movers and a truck. If you're moving on the weekend, it bumps up to $230. Travel fees are extra and are estimated on a per-move basis.
College HUNKS is a big company, and with that comes some advantages and downsides. You aren't going to get the same personal feel as with a locally-owned and operated moving company but the company may be better able to handle a last-minute or emergency move. The company prefers at least two days of notice for local moves but can accommodate faster turnaround as scheduling allows. All employees receive background checks.
David and Chris were AMAZING. In three hours they got more unpacked than I had in three days AND they hauled away the many empty boxes. Highly recommended and I will use College Hunks again if I ever need their services. — Chris Maloney, Google Reviews (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)

10) Eagle Eye Movers
Eagle Eye Movers opened in 2017 and remains a locally owned and operated moving company servicing Naples. Managing partners Pablo Bailey and Leonardo Mouthon offer a range of services, but its partnership with the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM) makes it stand out.
Moving is stressful for everyone, and that stress can be heightened for senior clientele. To become certified with NASMM, movers must receive specific training and undergo courses for safety, ethics, and standards of practice. All new employees undergo background checks. Whether you're a senior looking for movers to go the extra mile or you're a family member concerned with the well-being of parents or relatives during downsizing, packing, and moving, Eagle Eye should be a top choice.
Eagle Eye's full range of services can also accommodate other customers looking for local or long-distance moves. Hot tubs, pianos, and other large items not always covered are no problem for Eagle Eye, and they have a climate-controlled secure facility with vault storage solutions. Junk removal, loading and unloading, packing and unpacking, and "White Glove" services are available, as well.
Really appreciate the services of Eagle Eye Movers. Thomson, RJ, and Charles were particularly communicative and helpful. I felt secure that these guys would arrive promptly and handle my items with care. Highly recommend. — Are Less, Google Reviews (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
Eagle Eye's main areas of operation include Naples (where it's headquartered), Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Park Shore, and Port Royal. Individual consultations and estimates are the norm for long-distance moves, and that's the case with Eagle Eye. For local moves, come ready with as much information as possible. Eagle Eye says detailed information helps it cater to your individual needs. For this reason, it's tough to give a ballpark estimate of what a move will cost. A deposit is required and varies depending on the size of the job.
The company's BBB accreditation was revoked as of June 2023 due to it not addressing a dispute "forwarded by BBB quickly and in good faith." When asked to comment, a representative for Eagle Eye told us that it was due to the company not paying accreditation fees. The company nevertheless has an A rating from the BBB and hundreds of positive reviews on Google.
Eagle Eye Movers is open 24 hours a day. You can call 239-351-1234 or visit its website to request a free estimate. Our calls were consistently answered promptly.

How to pick the right moving company in Naples, FL, for YOU
Moving companies vary greatly in services offered, price, reliability, availability, and reputation, but our in-depth rating system — combined with our independent research and reporting — will help you find exactly what you need, guaranteed. Picking the right company isn't always easy, and consumers' priorities can vary widely, but basic guidelines exist to help make the right decision.
You usually want to find a moving company that's been in business for at least several years. Moving isn't easy, and the companies that aren't fully committed to the cause usually don't stick around long. You also want to look for a moving company with a strong reputation, dependable reliability, and favorable customer reviews.
Your needs will differ when it comes to availability and services, which is why we included so many different moving companies. Even if our top pick doesn't have a schedule that aligns with your move, you should be able to find a company that does. For example, William C. Huff and College Hunks are most likely to be able to handle last-minute jobs.
With all that in mind, our top pick for moving companies in Naples, FL. is Helping Hand Movers. It started out very small in 2013 with four employees loading and unloading rental trucks and containers, growing to include three 26-foot moving trucks and a moving van. The company has strong employee retention, which means you won't get a team of greenhorns handling your move. If price is your main concern, we suggest going with Demers Moving of SWFL.
The company is available seven days a week and offers residential and commercial moving services with full licensing in Florida. Senior relocation, in-home packing and unpacking, in-home furniture moving, “White Glove” specialty delivery service, and loading and unloading rental containers and trucks are all available services.
With prompt quote request turnarounds and friendly, personal customer service, Helping Hand Movers should be a great fit for your next local move in Naples or Florida.
Naples Moving FAQs
What info should you have ready when requesting a moving estimate?
The moving companies in Naples we spoke with about pricing were friendly and accommodating, but you can expedite the process by knowing a few key ingredients of the move.
You should have ready the current address and the destination address (or a rough idea of the distance between locations), the types of residence or commercial buildings on both ends of the move (be sure to specify if it's a home, apartment, or condo), square footage, and if there are stairs or elevators involved in the move.
You should also prepare to detail any extra services that may be required, such as packing or unpacking, or the purchase of supplies for the move.
What's different about condo and apartment moving?
Aside from the extra time it takes to navigate stairs or elevators — you should always mention this to the movers before a job so they can factor it into your estimate — you might need to schedule an elevator reservation with the condo board or apartment management company. Be upfront with whoever manages the property to be sure you don't run into scheduling snags.
What should you know about packing and storage in Naples?
Any resident of Naples knows how hot and humid the climate gets, and you want to be sure not to pack goods and leave them for too long without temperature- or climate-controlled storage. Humidity can cause mold to form quicker than you imagine — even during short-term storage — so be sure to find a storage unit with proper systems to control heat and moisture.
Do you need permits or licenses to move in Naples?
No, you do not need to apply for a special permit or license to move in Naples. Individual companies, however, must be licensed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to conduct business. For more details, read our complete guide to moving licenses and permits in Florida.
How much should you tip movers?
Moving isn't easy, especially in a hot and humid climate, and we recommend extra gratitude for a job well done. While it's ultimately up to you whether or not you want to tip, you should generally consider about 10% to 20% of the total moving cost. You can tip the movers individually, or you can let the team sort it out as they see fit. If the movers carefully handle delicate or sensitive items or tackle a huge job, you might consider more. The same goes for long-distance moves.
Offering a cold drink or snack during the move can also go a long way.

Are deposits required for moves in Naples?
Yes, in most cases deposits based on job size or type are required to book a moving truck and movers in Naples. Some of the smaller family-owned businesses operate on referrals or personally know the customers, and in those cases, deposits may not be necessary. Other top moving companies in Naples, like Demers Movers of SWFL and Affordable Moving & Storage, require no deposit.
