The present study is based on research in teacher self-training in Education for Sustainable Development (Leitão, 2012). Water was the motivating theme. The priority of a fair distribution of water, guaranteeing the consumption, in quality and quantity, to all mankind and living beings is urgent. To respond to water-related sustainability challenges, people worldwide need to acquire "water literacy" about various aspects of water use and management in order to ensure safer water consumption and to contribute to Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). Three case studies were carried out in schools in three African countries: Angola, Guinea-Bissau and Mozambique. A model of skills in education for sustainable development was applied (Sleurs, 2008). Considering the recent global and integrated approach on migratory issues in Euro-African relations, we intend to analyse and thoroughly comprehend the migrant’s potential on the migration/development relations, by exploring the relevance of proximity cooperation co-substantiated on the co-development and field logics as adequate strategies for a wiser management of migration dynamics. This can signify a beneficial incidence for the countries of origin, so as for the receptacle countries, although they way as well determine prejudice, so as political, economic, and social tensions. Hereby results the perspective and the challenge of evaluating and validating the support to the diverse strategies who posit migrations as servicing development and international relations.

Para além dos contextos diferenciados, quer em termos socioeconómicos, quer em termos socioculturais, os jovens do lado ocidental da Europa mediterrânica e do lado do Magrebe partilham, afinal, algo em comum. E estão, assim, mais próximos. Quanto aos contextos diferenciados, estes, de certa forma, acabam por convergir em alguns pontos, particularmente, quando vivemos um processo globalizador. Deveras marcante para os jovens de ambas as margens do Mediterrâneo, a Internet tem-se constituído como uma privilegiada ferramenta tecnológica de informação e de comunicação com uma importante influência para delinear e promover mudanças sociais, políticas e culturais. Mas pensamos particularmente a Internet no contexto escolar quando entendemos que pode ser um dos verdadeiros caminhos para se promover a aproximação entre as duas margens do Mediterrâneo, porventura, uma outra forma de se repensar as relações interculturais, mesmo que saibamos que não é um caminho fácil. Entre outras iniciativas, especialmente, na área da Educação, o Diálogo «5+5», que reúne dez países das duas margens do Mediterrâneo Ocidental, tem-se revelado uma fórmula de cooperação bem-sucedida para promover uma outra forma de relações interculturais.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
