Position Overview

As a Senior Communications Specialist at Korea, you will lead the execution of communication strategies for both our vaccine products and corporate. Responsible for communication to our stakeholders in alignment with the company’s priorities while continuously partnering with other functions to enhance the company’s reputation and to demonstrate value of our vaccines products and extend access to solutions that prevent infectious diseases. We are seeking a trusted advisor as communication expert who can turn ideas into reality and build trustworthy internal and external relations with ethics and integrity. Also, we are seeking a team member who can contribute to establishing a best-in-class communications function with the team.

Vaccine Communications

Main Roles & Responsibilities

• Establish strategic & operational communication plans aligned to our Vaccine Business unit.
• Create engaging and impactful public relations activities to extend access to our vaccines.
• Develop narratives and media outreach on our leadership in Vaccines: HPV, Pneumococcal, Pediatrics etc.
• Support progress in key NIPs and key pipeline launches.
• Amplify key regulatory and data milestones and raise disease awareness in local media.
• Conduct liaison with marketing teams to align communication strategy and brand campaigns with business needs.
• Work directly with public relations agencies and consult their activities with strategic direction (incl. company compliance)
• Protect our vaccines products’ value against negative issues and potential crisis.
• Manage strategic and trustworthy media relations with ethics and integrity.Corp. communications:
• Lead the ideation and planning of our corporate reputation communications strategy and execution across multiple platforms including press releases, position papers, interviews, social media etc.
• Execute media activities for corporate reputation aligned to our Global/Regional strategy.
• Update and coordinate content at our company's narrative and press kit as well as drafting messages, re-active statements, and Q & A’s when necessary.
• Work directly with public relations agencies and oversees the implementation of media communication and content for news release or public disease awareness with regards to corporate related topics.
• Protect company reputation against negative issues and potential reputational crisis.

Secondary Language(s) Job Description

• Required Experience and Skills:
• Demonstrated excellence (minimum of 10 to 13 years of experience) in Communications: proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies, managing public relations and/or public affairs projects, and effectively communicating key messages to various stakeholders.
• Excellent written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills: ability to develop clear and compelling communication materials such as press releases, statement, media interviews and social media content.
• Expertise in media relations: experience in building and maintaining relationships with journalists, pitching stories, managing media inquiries, coordinating media interviews, and plan and/or execute media responses and events. with a strong understanding of the media landscape in Korea.
• Ability to build and manage relationships with external stakeholders: experience in engaging with key stakeholders such media, government agencies, and healthcare professionals etc.), building trust, and maintaining positive relationships.
• Strong issue management skills: experience and skills in issue/crisis communication management.
• Demonstrated excellence in public relations and/or public affairs projects.
• Preferred Experience and Skills:
• Expertise in health communication with an understanding of the pharmaceuticals and healthcare industry.
• Demonstrated excellence in vaccine related communication/ disease awareness campaigns with a broad understanding and knowledge of vaccines products / infectious diseases.
• Familiarity with the local healthcare landscape and government policies in Korea.
• Social Awareness and Sensitivity: understanding and sensitivity to social issues.
• Proven track record of effectively prioritizing and directing activities, achieving results through others, and mobilizing self and others into action with a sense of urgency when needed.
