[ Taihan's news ] Taihan will supply power cables worth 30 billion won over one year, with a potential total value of up to 90 billion won over three years. Additionally, Taihan has won a cable supply project worth approximately 20 billion won in the eastern region of the United States. With these contracts, Taihan’s total orders in the US market this year have surpassed 720 billion won. [ Taihan's news ] Taihan publicly announced on the 28th that its consolidated financial statements for Q3 provisionally indicated sales amounting to KRW 804.4 billion with an operating profit of KRW 27.2 billion. Sales surged by 28% from the prior year’s KRW 630 billion, while operating profit marked a 56% growth, up from KRW 17.4 billion. Total sales for the first three quarters amounted to KRW 2.4573 trillion, while operating profit reached KRW 93.4 billion, demonstrating respective year-over-year growths of 18% and 58% when compared to KRW 2.0883 trillion and KRW 59.1 billion during the same period last year. [ Taihan's news ] Taihan announced on the 25th of October that it has won an "Integrated A grade" in the "2024 ESG Evaluation" conducted by the Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS). It is the fourth consecutive year that it has earned an A rating since it was the only one in the Korean cable industry to receive an integrated A rating in 2021. In this year's evaluation, Taihan received a grade of Environment (E) A, Social (S) A+, and Governance (G) B. In particular, the social sector fared the best, with only 172 companies out of 794 achieving an A+ rating. [ Taihan's news ] Taihan has reinforced its family-friendly policies to support employees in their journey of marriage, childbirth, and childcare. As part of this initiative, an event was held at the Dangjin Cable Plant on September 26 to present childbirth congratulatory funds to employees who have given birth. Taihan expanded its welfare program to be tailored to the life cycle of employees including marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare. A congratulatory fund of KRW 1 million is given to newlywed employees and up to KRW 3.9 million is supported for fertility treatments for infertile couples wanting to raise a family. A prenatal education travel package at a resort in Korea is also offered for pregnancy. Upon childbirth, congratulatory funds of KWW 5 million for the first child, KRW 10 million for the second child, and KRW 20 million for the third child or more are provided. [ Taihan's news ]  Taihan announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Miclyn Express Offshore (MEO), a leading Singapore-based offshore solutions provider, during President Yoon Suk Yeol's state visit to Singapore. Through this MOU, both companies plan to intensify their collaboration in offshore wind projects. Taihan’s CLV (Cable Laying Vessel), the PALOS, along with MEO’s fleet, will be considered for deployment in offshore wind projects in regions such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East. [ Taihan's news ] Taihan has finalized two contracts with SP PowerAssets Limited for the supply and installation of a 400kV EHV power grid, with a total value of KRW 840 billion. This figure accounts for around 30% of the company’s consolidated sales for 2023, which amounted to KRW 2.844 trillion. The NDC373 project, one of the two contracts, amounts to approximately KRW 500 billion, making it the largest export of extra-high voltage AC transmission networks in the nation's history. This marks the most sizable project that Taihan has ever acquired, whether within the country or overseas. [ Taihan's news ] Taihan Cable Vina has donated VND 2 bilion ($81,000) to support residents severely impacted by Typhoon Yagi in northern Vietnam. The donation will be provided through the MTTQ (Mat Tran To Quoc Viet Nam) to support disaster relief efforts, including providing clean water and essential supplies and contributing to the rebuilding efforts in high-impact areas. Choi Seungho, General Director of Taihan Cable Vina, who attended the donation ceremony held at the MTTQ on the 27th of September, said, “We’d like to express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims affected by the tragic typhoon. [ Taihan's news ] On the 20th, Taihan donated VND 2 Billion to assist Vietnam, which was severely affected by Super Typhoon Yagi. To formalize the donation, a signing ceremony was held on the 19th at the Embassy of Vietnam in Seoul, located in Jongro. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Vu Ho, Ambassador of Vietnam to Korea, and Song Jong-min, CEO of Taihan. The VND 2 billion will be delivered to the northern region of Vietnam through Taihan VINA, Taihan’s manufacturing subsidiary in Vietnam, and will be used for disaster relief and recovery efforts.
