Meet Michael Tomaszewski 👋 Head of Content Q: What’s your current role at Rezi? A: I lead our brilliant team of writers to make sure all the advice we share is actionable, based on accurate, reliable data, and in line with the current job search best practices. Our goal is to break through today’s SEO noise by writing articles that go beyond the obvious. Articles that will make you go, “oh, I wouldn’t think of that, that’s a cool idea, let’s try it!” — and then, hopefully, land the job of your dreams. Q: Any advice for job seekers? A: Pace yourself. Job searching isn’t fun, don’t let it drain you. Take breaks and schedule regular downtime, just as you would do at work. Don’t “spray and pray,” spamming out applications to any job that seems somewhat relevant. One well-researched, customized job application is more likely to be successful than 10 generic ones. Q: What do you like about Rezi? A: I've been passionate about career advice since 2017. Before joining, I closely followed Rezi, admiring it as an exciting newcomer in the career industry. Now that I'm here, I see exactly why. Our user-focused product development process is driven by community feedback, allowing us to quickly iterate and experiment. It's a content marketer's dream to promote a product you're truly proud of and confident in.

We had some questions. You answered. This is what we learned: ✍️ Job searching (in general) is a struggle. ✍️ Hey companies, let's bring back new hire training! ✍️ Work friends are nice, but not everything. ✍️ If you don't get the job—ask for feedback. ✍️ It's best to be remembered as confident and prepared after an interview.

Save your energy for choices that truly impact your business or personal growth. Some advice on decision-making fatigue from our CEO & Founder, Jacob Jacquet: Decision-making fatigue is real, and it can cripple your productivity. Analysis paralysis and the quest for perfect choices are horrible. Not all decisions are created equal. Delegate smaller ones. Let your team handle routine matters. Trust your gut on low-stakes decisions. Save your energy for choices that truly impact your business or personal growth. Create decision-making protocols. Set criteria for recurring decisions—like fixed budgets for marketing experiments or key metrics for hiring. Consistency reduces mental effort. Batch similar decisions to minimize context-switching. If you have multiple reports to review, do it in one session. Limit your options. When buying software or selecting vendors, narrow it down to three credible options. Indecision is a decision in itself. It leads to missed opportunities and bigger issues. Make the call, assess the outcome, and iterate. When in doubt, remember: “I don’t know” today could turn into “I wish I didn’t care” tomorrow. Batch, prioritize, streamline, and trust your instincts—or start practicing your best deer-in-headlights impression.
