I was honoured to have the opportunity to moderate a panel discussion at the launch of the Kenya Retirement Benefits Authority's 6th Strategic Plan (2024-2029). The 2-day event marked a significant milestone in our collective journey towards ensuring dignity in retirement for all Kenyans. Key highlights from our panel included: · Explored the current landscape of the retirement benefits sector in Kenya and acknowledging the progress made over the past 24 years and identifying opportunities for further growth. · Alignment on the need to implement and strengthen some of the existing legislative provisions for addressing the challenge of unremitted contributions and funding levels of retirement funds; · Discussing tangible steps to address some of the challenges in the sector. The new RBA strategic plan sets ambitious goals for the next five years, and I'm excited about the positive impact it will have on our industry. It was inspiring to see the commitment from all participants towards achieving the SMART goals in the plan. A big thank you to the Retirement Benefits Authority for this initiative and to my fellow panellists for their valuable contributions. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for the retirement benefits sector in Kenya.

Last Friday, we hosted an unforgettable staff game night celebrating three decades since Zamara’s inception. Our Group CEO began by taking us through Zamara’s remarkable 30-year history, from our humble beginnings as a niche actuarial firm to a world-class financial services provider. He shared the key milestones and achievements we have made, as well as highlighted some of the challenges we have faced along the way. The night was nothing short of amazing, filled with laughter, competitive games, and delicious food. Our incredible team truly understood the assignment, embracing the 90s vibe with enthusiasm and creativity. Here's to three decades of powering prosperity. #BetterwithZamara #PoweringProsperity #ThreeDecadesofPoweringProsperity
