As the week ends, our CEO Hilda Moraa appreciated Mr. Glen Agak our Tech lead. When we asked our CEO to give her quote this is what she said "He has shown tremendous growth, guides the team well in their sprints. Firm leader. Hands on. Leads by example. Has stepped in to handle difficult tech challenges and conversations to ensure we continue to innovate as part of our DNA." Glen is extraordinary. An outlier and a true Pezeshian in his leadership style in ensuring we hit our milestones/KPIs. Glen we salute you today and always!

Where SMEs are gathered and celebrated, you will find us there! Our team was fully energised yesterday at the KEPSA KENYA inaugural annual SME conference & Award Ceremony. SMEs are the backbone of the economy, they contribute more than 80% of employment opportunities, yet their growth is hampered daily by primarily the lack of access to affordable working capital among many other challenges they face. Our mission at Pezesha is to continue to reduce these inequalities through our collaborative embedded finance approach. One SME at a time. One sector at a time. Building Strong Business Relationships.

Open banking is threatening to be the end of traditional banks. Already, it is massively changing the finance industry. Open banking allows banks to share customer data with third-party providers through APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). This provides customers with access to new services, that are more personalized, at better rates. Here’s how open banking is changing traditional finance: 1. Increased competition Banks are no longer the only financial institutions with access to customer data. Fintechs and microfinance institutions are offering better, faster and cheaper services, forcing banks to innovate or risk losing customers. 2. Improved customer experience Open banking allows customers to access a wide range of personalized financial services that match their needs. From budgeting tools to loan platforms to investment tools, customers gain more control over their money. 3. Greater financial inclusion Open banking is bringing banking services to those who have been left out by traditional banks. Businesses which have been denied loans by traditional banks due to lack of a credit history or collateral, can now access the money they need through other financial institutions. Pezesha is helping to bridge this gap by providing financial support to those who need it most. The company is using open banking to provide loans to small businesses (SMEs) by connecting these businesses to lenders and investors. This provides more small businesses with the money they need to grow. Open banking is the future of finance. We will see: New types of financial products Faster, cheaper and customer-focused services More collaboration between banks and fintechs PS - Follow me Ben David for more finance industry insights
