Have you ever visualized your ideal team? We recently had a very engaging People Manager Capability building session with the Oxygène Marketing Communications Ltd. Team Leaders; on creating high performing teams and the leaders were tasked to draw a visual of the ideal state of their teams and present to their peers in such a way as to capture themes, insights, and aha moments.  Key Insights/Lessons from this exercise: - Clarity on Roles & Responsibilities via RACI(Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) to avoid instances of duplication is critical. - Assess & Define communication methods applicable for your team - Avoid blame & shame ; foster a psychologically safe environment to allow individuals fail & course correct. - Develop a team charter - Create an action plan in 2 ways: Step 1. Individual Reflection; Identify two actions you will start/Identify two actions you will stop/Identify two actions you will continue. Step 2: Accountability and learning reinforcement; Pair up with someone from another department and discuss your action plans; They will become your accountability partner – make a plan to meet in a month to talk about your action plan and put it in your calendar. Thanks Lizzy Kivihi & Nick Wachira for the opportunity to walk this journey with your team as we chart the next wave of interventions.
