🌸✨ International Day of the Girl, 2024 ✨🌸 Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and brilliance of all the girls we work with at Nivishe—from our adolescent girls to our amazing teen mothers. These young women inspire us every day with their courage to rise above challenges and their dedication to building a brighter future for themselves and their communities. Through our adolescent girls' programs, they learn, grow, and support each other on their journey to becoming leaders in mental health and beyond. And for our teen mothers, we are honored to walk with them as they work towards financial independence, emotional healing, and creating better lives for themselves and their children. At Nivishe, we are proud to be part of their journey, empowering them to thrive and reminding them that their voices, dreams, and potential are limitless. To every girl out there: You are powerful. You are capable. You are unstoppable. 💪✨ #InternationalDayOfTheGirl #EmpowerGirls #Nivishe #AdolescentGirls #TeenMothers #GirlsLead #GirlPower #MentalHealthMatters

🌍 Today on #WorldMentalHealthDay, we focus on Mental Health at Work—a reminder that everyone, from digital economy workers like content moderators and Uber drivers, to mama mbogas, market vendors, farmers, office workers, and entrepreneurs, deserves a healthy work environment. At Nivishe Foundation, we've seen firsthand that fostering mental well-being at work starts with addressing toxic workplace cultures. It’s not just about offering mental health trainings—it’s about tackling the root causes within the organization that affect employees’ mental health. As we reflect, let's also acknowledge how capitalism often pushes us into a "rat race," driving fatigue, stress, and competition over human connection. We need to start building workplaces where community and well-being come first. A healthy work environment is a human right. Let’s create spaces where people can thrive, not just survive. 💚 #MentalHealthAtWork #WorkplaceWellbeing #Nivishe #MentalHealthMatters #HealthyWorkplace #DecolonizingMentalHealth Nawi Africa Echoing Green

🌍🧠 On this World Mental Health Day, the Nivishe team is excited to be actively participating in two key activities: 1️⃣ We’ll be joining other stakeholders and Nairobi County Mental Health for the Mental Health Walk to raise awareness and advocate for better mental health services. 2️⃣ Together with our partners at Nawiri Pamoja we are spending the day with law enforcement agencies in our community, sharing the message of mental health and well-being. In addition, today is also Environment Day in Kenya—a perfect opportunity to reflect on how climate change and environmental factors impact our mental health. 🌱🧠 Let’s take action for both our mental and environmental well-being! #WorldMentalHealthDay #ClimateAndMentalHealth #MentalHealthMatters #Nivishe #CommunityFirst

💼 Empowering Teen & Young Mothers for a Better Future! 💼 At Nivishe, we believe that financial and economic independence is key to improving the quality of life for young and teen mothers. Through our Economic Empowerment Program, these incredible women are gaining the skills and resources they need to achieve self-sufficiency. Financial independence leads to better mental well-being, especially when paired with our Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPPS) sessions. From micro-financing initiatives to job opportunities through computer literacy training, we’ve seen firsthand how economic empowerment transforms lives. We’ll soon be sharing inspiring success stories of these mothers, showing the power of financial stability. A huge thank you to Women First International Fund for making this journey possible. 🙏🏾 #EconomicEmpowerment #FinancialIndependence #MentalHealthSupport #Nivishe #WomenFirstInternationalFund #YouthEmpowerment #BetterFutures
