Breast cancer remains one of Kenya’s most pressing health challenges, with mortality rates among the highest globally. In fact, 80% of women diagnosed may not survive beyond five years, mainly due to late detection and a lack of awareness. At MAS Kenya, we’re on a mission to change that. By raising awareness and promoting early detection, we believe lives can be saved. Here are three vital signs you should never ignore: 1. Irritation or dimpling of the breast skin. 2. Redness or flaky skin around the nipple or breast. 3. Nipple discharge, including blood, that isn’t breast milk. Early detection saves lives- it’s never too late to get checked.
