Record Keeping for Small Businesses One of the common challenges faced by new and small business owners is record keeping. It may seem like a tedious task, but it's crucial for long-term success. So, what is record keeping? It’s simply maintaining accurate data of all your business transactions. Whether you’ve been in business for two days or five years, whether you have one customer or thousands, record keeping is essential to track where your business has been, where it stands now, and where it's headed. Good records aren’t just for taxes—they help you make smarter decisions, identify growth opportunities, and foresee challenges. It’s your business’s roadmap to sustainability. Here are the key records every small business owner should keep: Revenue Statement – tracks every shilling your business is bringing in Profit and Loss Statement – This shows your overall financial performance by subtracting your expenses from your revenue. Expense Reports – Track every business-related purchase or investment you make, from office supplies to marketing campaigns. Receipts and Invoices – Always keep records of what you’ve sold, what you’ve bought, and what’s still owed. It protects you from any disputes with clients or suppliers. Inventory Records- Keep tabs on your stock to optimize ordering and sales. Stay organized, stay informed, and watch your business grow!

🌟 Two things make our programs highly effective: 1. Peer-to-Peer Learning: We encourage our participants to teach one another and share key insights. This approach enhances their communication skills, deepens their mastery of the content, makes sessions more interactive, and significantly boosts their confidence. 2. Adaptable and Customizable Learning Modes: We incorporate the local language of the participants and employ straightforward teaching methods. Our easily accessible and carefully crafted learning materials —some of which are even prepared by the participants themselves.
