We follow the science, to unlock innovation and pursue sustainable answers. We are guided by our commitment to patients, our people and the planet. Our vision is to deliver life-transforming treatments to those in need. We are steadfast in our purpose for better health for people and a brighter future for the world.
概要
We strive to transform lives. While the science we advance is constantly evolving, our core purpose is enduring. For more than two centuries, our values have guided us to do what’s right for patients and for society. We know that changing lives requires us to do things differently. We start by listening to and addressing what really matters to patients, the people who love them, and those in the healthcare system who provide care. And that’s what inspires us all to be bold, push boundaries and set new standards that open up greater opportunities. Despite recent advancements in #psoriasis research, Black and Latino populations remain underrepresented in global psoriasis clinical trials. We strive for inclusion in our clinical trials, so all people with psoriasis – including those who have been historically underrepresented – can receive quality care. For more than 240 years, our purpose has been to create better health for people and a brighter future for the world. Part of delivering on this commitment is supporting organizations to equip the next generation with the necessary skills to be leaders in STEM and in their communities. On International Day of Education, we want to thank all the organizations, including Breakthrough Greater Boston, doing this important work in our communities.
On International Day of Education, I want to celebrate the transformative power of education and reaffirm our commitment to fostering inclusive, equitable and quality education for all. Takeda has long recognized the importance of education and its profound impact on communities – and we know how important it is to take a proactive approach. By addressing educational needs and cultivating curiosity from a young age, particularly in under-resourced communities, we aim to ensure students have the essential skills for their academic journeys and create pathways to rewarding, economically sustainable careers. To achieve this long-term impact, we select partners who are trusted leaders in the community, who know their community needs well and who can design solutions tailored to those needs. A great example is our partnership with Breakthrough Greater Boston, an organization dedicated to preparing students for success in higher education and beyond. By supporting Breakthrough Greater Boston, Takeda helps bridge the gap between potential and opportunity, ensuring all students have access to the resources they need to achieve their dreams. The urgency of these efforts is highlighted in a recent Boston Globe article emphasizing the need for educational equity and the role of organizations like Takeda in driving positive change. As we celebrate International Day of Education, let us recognize the tireless efforts of educators and organizations like Breakthrough Greater Boston who are dedicated to making quality education accessible to all. #InternationalDayofEducation #BreakthroughGreaterBoston

Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) is a rare disease in which the immune system attacks the protective covering around the nerves, called myelin, in the peripheral nervous system. These protective sheaths allow nerve signals to travel quickly, but when damaged, like in the case of CIDP, communication between the nerves slowdown. While the exact cause of #CIDP is unknown, ongoing research is crucial to improving diagnosis and treatment options.

Inflammation plays an important role in protecting our bodies from threats like viruses and bacteria. But when the immune system is activated in the absence of these threats, chronic inflammatory immune-mediated diseases like psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease can occur. Watch our 2-minute video that likens the immune response to an orchestra and dives into the science of the enzyme, tyrosine kinase 2, or TYK2, and the role it may play in creating discord in the immune symphony.

“With the value of ‘integrity’ that we hold dear, I want to ensure that we pass on the importance of biodiversity to future generations.” These are the words of Yuki Uemura from the Takeda Garden for Medicinal Plant Conservation in Kyoto. We are collaborating with a local aquarium and museum to take on the challenge of preserving biodiversity. Watch the three-minute video to see how we are striving to recreate the lost environment of the lake and protect the endangered Kawabata moroko fish. https://lnkd.in/dXbu5cuw #Kyoto #aquarium #OurStories

A new breakthrough for patients with #CrohnsDisease (CD) may be on the horizon. We're teaming up with the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) on INTERCEPT — the largest research initiative ever focused on early intervention of CD, a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract that can significantly impact a person’s quality of life. Together, we’re striving to intercept the progression of the disease to help ease the burden, find better management methods and enhance the lives of countless patients by deepening our clinical understanding of this complex condition.
