The "Carbon Offset Vending Machine" will be rolled out sequentially across Japan starting in September! By acquiring a "FIT Non-Fossil Certificate" equivalent to the annual electricity consumption required for operation, the "Carbon Offset Vending Machine" will be deemed to have used "electricity derived from renewable energy" and GHG emissions can be offset. Late last month, our CEO Makiko Ono visited our offices in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Suntory Beverage & Food (SBF) operates beverages such as Lucozade, Ribena, and BOSS coffee and health enrichment products such as Essence of Chicken in Hong Kong, and health enrichment products in Taiwan. This is Makiko’s first visit to Hong Kong and Taiwan since assuming the position of CEO, and she joined townhalls to promote active communication with local colleagues. After the townhalls, Makiko visited each Gemba including local convenience stores and supermarkets to see how SBF's products were displayed and enjoyed by local people.
