Nippon Express Europe (hereinafter "NX Europe") a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS,, has launched a new "NX Europe One-Stop Service" as part of its “NX One-Stop Relocation Service”, a one-stop service covering many of the tasks incumbent on customers relocating overseas. The “NX One-Stop Relocation Service" is a one-stop service that provides total support from pre-assignment to repatriation for both human resources personnel and overseas assignees by performing a full range of operations pertaining to overseas assignments on behalf of human resources departments. This new " NX Europe One-Stop Service” has been inaugurated to help make customers’ overseas stays in Europe smoother and more comfortable. -Service overview The “NX Europe One-Stop Service" is a one-stop lifestyle support service for overseas assignees available during their stays overseas that eliminates the anxieties of being posted abroad and the procedural hassles inherent therein. Nippon Express has been participating in the Aomori Nebuta Festival in Japan every August since the first festival in 1947. Our 2024 Nebuta float features the unique, enchanting theme of the "Kaibyo" (Monster Cat). This is the first time our skilled craftsman have tried to create a large animal Nebuta, which adds a new challenge to this year's design. In response to rising temperatures, we have also installed mist sprayers on the body of the Nebuta as a measure to cool the pullers and prevent heatstroke. This innovative feature will enable everyone involved to have a safer and more comfortable experience. For those unfamiliar with the Nebuta Festival, it is a traditional Japanese event where large, illuminated floats depicting historical and mythological scenes are paraded through the city. It is a vibrant festival that celebrates culture, art, and community spirit. Let's celebrate this wonderful tradition together and experience the magic of the Nebuta Festival! Thanks to Marin Nakamura and her team at Nippon Express's Fukuoka Air Service Branch, we were able to obtain #Halal Logistics certification at the Fukuoka Chuo Logistics Center! With an increasing demand for Halal #beef exports to Southeast Asia, our team in Fukuoka set out to obtain Halal logistics certification for both existing and new shippers. Representing the Halal logistics certification project team is Marin Nakamura. Marin gained a personal interest in Halal business and logistics in her university days studying Middle East culture and history. When she joined NX, it became a personal goal to lend herself to this project. "Japanese food is highly popular in other countries," she says. "Despite this, in Japan, there is still a lack of understanding surrounding 'Halal food.'" According to Marin, the team was able to succeed thanks to regular meetings between project members, as well as addressing and resolving questions along the way. Their team takes extra care so that from the time of receiving customers' cargo to handing it over to the air shipping companies, shipments are handled in a way that is recognized as "Halal". This achievement marks a pivotal step in our commitment to supporting expanded Halal beef exports from #Japan. NX Group launched a meaningful initiative to collect and donate spare stationery to children. Our employees in Japan filled 78 boxes with donations! 🌏📚 In May, through a collaboration with the certified NPO GLOBE JUNGLE, some of these donated supplies reached children in public elementary schools in #Cambodia. And our efforts don't stop there! Through the ENPITSU PROJECT (operated by casa, a general incorporated association), we also donate to elementary schools and certified NPOs that support children in Japan. Through this new initiative, all of NX Group aims to contribute to #sustainability through the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), highlighting our commitment to global environmental conservation. Together, we're not only reducing waste but also making a tangible difference in the lives of children around the world. #education

Nippon Express Logistics (#Thailand) is making transport operations more eco-friendly by integrating electric vehicles into their truck fleet. In February of this year, they deployed an #EV 6W truck into their Bangkok Logistics Center operations. This electric truck was provided by Thai local company NEXPOINT and is used by NX Logistics (Thailand) in its air cargo pickup and delivery operations. What are the benefits of EV truck logistics? 🚛🔋 According to their representatives, EV trucks allow a maintained high quality of #logistics services, all while reducing CO2 emissions to diesel-engine trucks. EV trucks are also capable of handling a wide range of cargo types. Furthermore, with recent fuel and electricity prices, they have found that EV trucks are more efficient in terms of energy-based costs (i.e. costs for fuel versus electricity). NX Logistics (Thailand) will strive to reduce CO2 emissions while maintaining service levels. #sustainability

On August 9, #NXGroup issued its earnings announcement for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024. Concerning the consolidated results for the first half of the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, cargo volume finally started recovering during the second quarter. In addition, the inclusion of Cargo-Partner in the scope of consolidation resulted in a year-on-year increase in revenue. On the other hand, the various categories of profit under business profit decreased due to the significant impact of a decline in gross profit margin in the forwarding business, a decrease in the volume of COVID-related goods handled, and an increase in personnel and other costs. After taking into consideration the current situation and outlook in a comprehensive manner, we have revised our full-year consolidated financial forecast, raising revenue projections while lowering forecasts for operating income and other profits below it.
