Resins are one of the main contributors to our upstream Scope 3 emissions. Our new Resins Strategy ensures that our designs specify as low-carbon resins as possible. Matrix headlights and illuminated front grille, innovative taillights, and a lit logo in the front & rear – Changan has again entrusted Marelli with the development and production of the entire exterior lighting for the model CS75 Plus in its fourth generation – with engineering & manufacturing in China. Front and rear lighting units match perfectly. Providing illuminated OEM logo and encompassing the entire width of the car, they emanate the feeling of power, clear and clean. In the front, four rows of light strips in the main-light area are connected by a continuous strip in the grille. The space-saving, third-generation bifunctional matrix module not only improves the luminance using LEDs of greater intensity, but also features a new cooling system that can reduce energy consumption by 18% while maintaining the desired light output. The tail lamp, also adopting the popular full-width design extends across the entire width of the car. The up and down staggered lighting functions emphasize the visual impact to improve brand recognition. At the same time, the variety of animation modes can create different scenarios to highlight the personality of the lamp – and the car. Among its various social responsability initiatives in India, #Marelli is also supporting 52 exceptionally bright students, belonging to low-income sections of society from various universities in Haryana and Karnataka regions. Marelli is supporting them for the duration of their 4-year of Bachelor of Tech and Engineering programs. The project is implemented through the NGO named "Foundation for Excellence" (FFE). Last month, 18 of these students had the opportunity to visit two #Marelli plants in Manesar, to experience directly the activities and the typical "life" of a plant. They also got to interact with our local leaders and ask them many questions. The comment of one student, Priyanka Yada from NIT Kurukshetra, perfectly represents the spirit of this visit: “I would really like to thank FFE and Marelli for the wonderful visit. I was amazed to see the processes and hard work behind building a vehicle. I got to learn a lot about teamwork, importance of work done by each and every member, safety measures etc. I was overwhelmed by the behaviour of everyone. Overall it was a great experience. On October 23rd, Barbara Cavagna, Marelli OH&S and MMS Manager, will take part in Normachem Chemic 2024 event, with the speech “Carcinogenic, Mutagenic and Reprotoxic Substances Project”. She will talk about a Marelli project aimed at ensuring high standards of management and risk reduction of exposure to carcinogenic, mutagenic, and reproductive toxic substances for all Marelli workers.
