  • Japan Aerospace 2024: JUIDA and Czech Republic continue their collaboration Last Week, Japan UAS Industrial Development Association - represented by Gaku Minorikawa - attended Japan Aerospace 2024. This year, a total of 663 companies exhibited, which included 20 companies/organizations from Czech Republic in aviation, light aircraft, UAS, space systems and Defense sector.  “The best characteristic of the Czech Republic cluster is that it is so practical and all companies are seamlessly connected with each other. Furthermore, even if they are not huge corporations, they have a strong presence in the market, which is what the Japanese aerospace cluster must learn.” said Minorikawa-sensei. Notably, Minorikawa-sensei made a presentation during the Czech Aerospace seminar. JUIDA, already partner of UAV Alliance Czech Republic , will continue to expand the collaboration to strengthen industry opportunities. official website of Japan Aerospace 2024: https://lnkd.in/gKJtD3ct Special thanks to: Jakub Karas and Jakub Hajek

  • Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI): creation of Japanese Industrial Standard for drone services Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) announced the establishment of a JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) that outlines the processes and standards required for drone service providers to ensure a certain level of quality in their services. Recently, drone-based services have been provided in various fields, and have contributed greatly to resolving issues such as labor shortages. To further popularize drone services, it is essential to improve the quality of drone services. Specifically, JIS calls for the development of a service provision system, service delivery, continuous improvement, personnel capability management, incident response during flights, and post-service monitoring.  By requiring businesses to meet JIS standards, METI aims to improve the quality and promote the spread of drone services, while also addressing issues such as labor shortages and disaster response. • KDDI and others: Successfully conducted remote operation of 3 drones by a single operator. On June 28, 2024, KDDI Corporation and Japan Airlines announced the successful demonstration of a single operator remotely controlling three drones simultaneously to deliver disaster relief supplies and food.  The experiment was conducted with a drone operator located in Tokyo remotely controlling three PRODRONE "PD6B-Type3" drones in the Yoshida area of Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture.  The drones traveled approximately 2.5 km along two different routes to deliver the supplies.  Both companies are developing an operational management system and operational procedures (specific procedures and rules for performing tasks) to enable one-to-many drone operations. The usefulness of these systems was verified in this experiment. For more information, contact us at JUIDA. https://lnkd.in/d2UxmEXf
