Job Vacancy at The Royal Film Commission - Jordan: Technical Support Officer
Job Summary:
Handling and caring for the shooting equipment; operating and maintaining audio-visual equipment in JCA activities and screenings; supporting JCA staff and students in handling & operating equipment; as well as executing the maintenance checklist and doing any photography or video documentation support as needed.
Job Description:
· Responsible for lending equipment, when required, to JCA students or JCA team members according to forms and set policies.
· Responsible for maintaining all the equipment located at JCA stores, including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment for events
· Setting up and operating the equipment for film screenings.
· Provide technical support when needed for all JCA activities, staff, and students.
· Keeping track of inventory and assets’ codes on the set system designed for this matter.
· Supporting screenings, courses, and workshops in terms of providing equipment when needed.
· Continuously checking the status of the equipment in the warehouses and following up on maintenance including getting offers for equipment and spare parts based on RFC regulations and procedures.
· Receiving any new equipment; learning its operation, coding, and properly storing it in the warehouses.
· Maintaining reports of equipment movement, usage, and status as needed.
· Participating in general maintenance for the facilities when needed.
Qualifications:
· Experience 5 years in relevant lightening, videography, and sound equipment
· Education: Diploma in filmmaking
· Special Factors (Pluses): Equipment operating is a must.
Reporting: Report to the Capacity Building Coordinator.
Competencies: Excellent communication skills
