Deployment of Interceptor 015 is in progress in the largest gully of Kingston, Sandy Gully, alongside the local community.🇯🇲 Interceptor 015 is 260m long and consists of 44 floating boom sections. We expect it to stop up to 990 tons of trash/year from flowing into the Caribbean Sea. This will be our eighth river deployment in Kingston, Jamaica, made possible in partnership with Clean Harbours Jamaica and GraceKennedy Ltd.. Our river deployments are intended to act as catalysts within a community, intercepting plastic and providing solutions while enabling a community to drive systemic change further upstream. Our project in Kingston, Jamaica, provides a good example of this in action. Learn more about this project: https://lnkd.in/e9Yx26eh.
