We have been asked by lots of our customers many times why we could sell so many "highly-priced" items with confidences in stores comparing to most of the stores in Australia or either most of the stores worldwide which sell same/similar brands like us .
I guess the reason is all of our staffs are really into these quality products and love the brands that we carry ... Before we decided to bring some "highly-priced" items into our stores, we did buy quite a few of them and tested them by ourselves then we only hand-picked only a few of them each season which we do think so the products with great values (Most of the products we do think so only could go more expensive in a near future)!
It is quite easy for us to tell our customers what is good in this product after we did fully use it but not just "picturing". Today, we would like to give you an example --- The Flat Head Deerskin X Horsehide Shoulder Bag which are well used for 3 months by our Sydney staff ---- Cindy .
We did see this beauty nearly a year ago in The Flat Head exhibition, Cindy was curious how come this shoulder bag is quite expensive so she decided to order it and test it by herself (Before the order, The Flat Head team already gave us a great explanations about materials and constructions as usual ) and she had been told that this totebag might take up to 8 months to finish due to the very detailed constructions that takes a most skilled The Flat Head leather artisan 1 or 2 day to finish ... (Not includes the time that leather tanning artisans and leather coloring artisans spent)
A eight months awaiting did worth when she received it from Japan as she felt it in person. The butter soft deerskin and stiff vegetable tanned horsehide are a "Perfect Match" . She was very happy with it and she did even forgot to finish a leather care before the use .
The leathers were quite beautiful but not with many sheen in brand new condition. However, with 3 months in use ( 4 ~ 5 days per week) , the leathers appear more and more special sheen which did surprise us really a lot especially for the deerskin . We did never see other brands' deerskin leathers age like this . The Flat Head's deerskin is extra thick compare with others. And it is secretly tanned and colored by The Flat Head themselves. With many uses, the deerskin leather age to some similar sheen as their horsehide . The horsehide gains more sheen as well with uses . In these 3 months, the handles turn to be some lighter red color and some areas turn to be some blood color with a beautiful contrast !
All the copper rivets, holders and hooks are well hand polished with smooth textures and are made extra thick for durabilities
The whole shoulder bag with many extra leather linings to hold the shape better and for sure, they do look nicer as well!~
If you see the bag closely, you may find many parts are hand-stitched by skilled leather artisans . For most of the brands, it is not so necessary to hand stitch a bag but The Flat Head always wants to detail everything to make it one step close to perfection !
This shoulder bag is not huge but it can store really a lot of stuffs with many functional departments. Cindy always put her everything into this bag includes her Macbook, chargers , notebooks, travel wallets and make-ups etc almost everything into this bag when she travel oversea . It does not even look bulky with many stuffs . It does look still simple and clean!
With 3 months in test, we do think about bringing this shoulder bag into our store in a near future, i guess through this article, you may understand why we could sell some highly priced items bravely in stores and why we have some "crazy customers" always come to us ^^
