Thorogood "Portage" Monkey Boots

Today we would like to announce a new model from the Thorogood 1892 Heritage series: the Thorogood "Portage" Monkey Boots!! As the "Beloit" Plain Toe Boots, these boots are also made from the famous "Horween" leather of 5oz thickness. Both the colours are wax coated and surface dyed to give it a "tea-cored" finish, so you will have a lot of sheen to play with and a lot fun in ageing as you wear them in. Also the construction is very neat as other Thorogood products always have been, and these boots features1892 "Double Stitch Down" welt and a reinforced mid-sole for extra strength and durability. You might think these features had made the boots are stiff and hard to break in, but the leather had been softened and has made them highly comfortable; the "monkey" layout provides an extreme wrap all around the feet!

It is hard for us to find a pair of beautiful black boots because throughout using, some of them turn into grey very quickly and some of them just do't have the sheen. However we didn't give up trying and we have finally struck gold!! We hereby to introduce you the Thorogood "Beloit Plain Toe" Boots in sexy black. These boots were pre waxed so you will experience very good sheen throughout the entire lifecycle of the boots. Also, the black is surface dyed so as you wear them in, the black colour will wear out and the natural tan colour from the leather will appear, there it is, another Wabi-Sabi piece. Also the construction is very neat as other Thorogood products always have been: thoroughly good, from the inside to the outside and comes in a great value!!

We must say this pair of Thorogood "Dodgeville Cap Toe" Mining Boots are totally next level if you compare it to other Thorogood boots . The 5oz icy mocha full grain leather is from Horween Company and appear some beautiful sheen in brand new condition . And the leather will go more shinny and appear some tan colors with wears . 

Thorogood is a traditional bootsmaking company started their business from 1892 . During that time, all the boots are bench built by skilled American artisans so Thorogood are willing to bring back the old skills to this pair of boots . The construction for this pair of boots is called "Double Stitch Down" , it takes much longer time to finish a pair of them. However, the front toe of the boots will go up a little bit and the shape will be kept well through time .
