Strike Gold 1109 2 Years in Use

If you talk about tough Japanese denim with some big contrast fadings, you can't ignore the brand Strike Gold. Today we'd like to share a faded pairs of Strike Gold 1109 with you guys. It has been 2 years in use and the owner worn them approximately 5 days per week. Strike Gold 1109 uses a 14.5oz grand indigo dyed slubby denim fabric. You can see from the pictures, small dots like snow flakes appears in every corner of the fadings and gives you some kind of rough feelings. Strike Gold is famous for its big contrast and quick fading way, after a two years wearing, the cat's whisker on the thigh and honeycombs on the legs clearly appears in such a natural way. Buck skin leather patch and rivets also aged nicely as well through time. Have a look on these pictures we take. Cheers!

Strike Gold Heavy Weight Loopwheel Tees

High quality plain tees are always popular items in our store. Easy to match with other garments like shirt, hoodies, we even heard from some of our customers, they like to wear them when they go to bed. (kind of luxury huh?)

The Strike Gold heavy weight loop-wheel tees are one of the best we ever seen. Strike Gold is a company who like to put their thoughts in making the best of basic products. They try to put their artisan spirit into even a simple T-shirt. The only problem is they are very limited in quantities.

This time we cross over with Strike Gold company release this special run of loop-wheel tees. Except the classic black and white colors, we add the indigo color and iron grey color into this run. Indigo and iron grey colored fabrics will have a beautiful ageing effect like a pair of denim. You will see the beautiful texture coming out little by little through time.

Due to the size of the Loop-wheel machine that Strike Gold use is quite small. (They are literally older then my grandpa, at that  kind of age, the loop-wheel machine's size are very limited), our sizes can only goes up to xl. Even the xlarge is generally equal to other Japanese brands' large. We feel a little bit pity on the sizing.   : (

Strike Gold 5109 Slim Tapered fit

The Strike Gold 5109 is one of the most amazing denims that we have received so far. The weft of the denims is made of very short slub cotton which make the denims will have some very interesting horizontal fades with many wears and washes . The texture of denim is slightly slubby in raw condition then will get softened with wears .

*30 ~60 degree Warm Machine ---- 1.5'' smaller in the waist and 2'' shorter in inseam

The Strike Gold 1109 2 Years In Use

This is a pair of The Strike Gold 1109 which is well worn by our lady staff ---- Cindy. 

In the first 6 months , she wears them as 6 days per week and wash them every 3 ~ 4 weeks then after 6 months , she wears them 2 days per week and get them washed every 2 weeks ~

Cindy always try to keep her denims as clean as possible so that is the only reason she washed her denims very frequently . However, her SG 1109 still own her nice contrast after 2 years in use( so you could imagine how many different shades of indigo on the surface in raw condition ^^)

Anyway, she also love her HTC "Butterfly" belt (2 years in use) to match her SG 1109 so she asked me to take a photo of it and share with you guys~

She always place her IPhone 5 in front left pocket so there becomes a IPhone fading mark and also we do really like the "cat's whiskers" fades in front~

The belt loops are all roped so  after a while in use , you may see some nice fades will come up in the middle of them~

The rivets are made of copper and they turns to be some dark greenish colors

The construction is quite nice, after 2 years in use, the denims only get worn out a little bit in crotch area

She always knee down to help our customers to lace up the boots when she works in store so some nice fades become on knee part as well ( The more you works on them, the more beautiful fades will result for you!)

After 2 years in use, the deerskin leather patch turns to be some golden brown colors

some little worn-outs in the edges of back pockets due to the hidden back rivets ^^

The honeycomb fades are always attractive for denim lovers , what do you think about these?

Compare to the brand new ones, they do look like some beautiful "Familiar  Strangers" right? That is why we keen for Japanese raw denims, you never know the exact final result but they will become more beautiful than you expected with wears...

The loopwheel fabric is slowly loomed from vintage loopwheel machine which has been high quality controlled and there are only  a handful numbers of  vintage loopwheel machines are still working well in Japan ... The garments will age nicely with wears ,keeping the fit perfectly and last much longer than other kinds of knitting wears ...
