Throw back to 6 years ago, "Purple Face" is the first pair of PBJ denims we had in store . The color is a magic, it does not look like any other purple jeans , the indigo is so rich so you may need to look twice then you may find some hidden dark purple color underneath , especially after a warm soak/wash , the indigo color even turns to be darker  which did surprise us a lot...

This time we would like to introduce you the PBJ 014 which is "Purple Face" in Slim Tapered fit . This pair of PBJ 014 is also our stores' Special Edition which has 34.75'' inseam which fits better for most of slim tapered fans as we think! Pure Blue Japan 5oz Nep Denim Workshirt

Pure Blue Japan brings us their new season shirting collection, they are so amazing, and we gonna show you one of them today. These Pure Blue Japan work shirt is made of a 5oz nep denim fabric. The fabric has slowly weaved from a vintage shuttle loom and it goes with a unique nep texture. Through your daily wearing and washing, the denim will aged to a vintage kind of sky blue color and the nep knots will get disappear as the denim aged. 

The shirt is in an classic chest pocket workshirt shape with some amazing details. You will find selvedge anywhere - left placket, right placket, and quarters as well. Even the buttons are quite special. The round shape buttons goes with a pentagon shape inside. Thousands years ago, through the study of relationship of circle and pentagon, Mathematicians find out the so called "Golden Ratio". The hidden "Golden Ratio" in the buttons makes them looked unique but naturally beautiful. Not to mentioned that they are made of silver coated iron, through time you will see some interesting ageing as well.

The indigo color is deeper and the texture is more uneven comparing to original 013 14.5oz ones .  This is our very own special edition of PBJ 013-18oz which has slightly shorter inseam length (35.5'') and slightly more tapered leg opening which we made for the customers who is a fan of real slim tapered fit!

Pure Blue Japan Stretch Jeans (Purple Face) 18 months In Use

This pair of PBJ Stretch Jeans (Purple Face) has been well worn by our staff and she was wearing them 3 or 4 days per week throughout 18 months and the jeans always get washed every 1 or 2 weeks . After 18 months in use, the jeans appear more shades of blue and beautiful contrast . It becomes harder to tell that they were some purplish jeans unless you cuff up the hem a little bit . That is the reason that we always have female customers that ask for "Purple Face" jeans which fits skinny, looking elegance and ageing beautifully...
