Recommendation? Stop by the Parisian bakery and also the empanadas. Well worth it!
My second visit to Liberty Public Market when I stopped by San Diego and it was enjoyable both times! This time though coming in the evening, it seemed more packed than usual and much rowdier as well, so enjoying the meal in this environment was a slight negative. The many food stands here were just as before, ranging from Italian, Asian, Pacific, Mexican, you name it they probably have it and served in great quality. I got the Hawaiian bowl and the empanadas here. The Hawaiian bowl I got with the shredded pork was a bit more on the fattier side as it was very rich and savory so if you're into going not too healthy, it's a definite change in what you'd typically eat for Hawaiian food. The empanadas on the other hand were stellar and probably some of the best empanadas I've had in a while. Size was great and plenty of varieties to choose from with different dips as well. I got the spicy chicken, beef, and the Argentinian (?) Beef special empanada and wow they were all so good I have to get more next time. There's still so many other vendors to try that I know whenever I'm in San Diego with not a sure plan what to eat for the day, Liberty Public Markets will definitely be my back up spot to go.
