Automotive Engineer

Job Title: Composite Laminators (7) & Composite Trimmers (3)

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking 7 Composite Laminators and 3 Composite Trimmers to join our dynamic team, working on high-end visual carbon fiber parts for the motorsport industry. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience with composite materials, particularly carbon fiber, and a strong focus on precision and quality. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the production of top-tier components that meet the highest standards of aesthetics and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Composite Laminators (7):

• Prepare molds and tools for the lamination process.
• Lay up carbon fiber and other composite materials according to detailed specifications and patterns.
• Apply proper resin and follow accurate cure cycles to ensure high-quality results.
• Handle and finish visual carbon fiber parts to meet the highest cosmetic standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and quality control teams to meet project requirements.

Composite Trimmers (3):

• Accurately trim and finish carbon fiber and composite parts using various hand tools.
• Polish and finish visual components to achieve flawless surfaces, free from defects.
• Ensure all parts meet both dimensional and aesthetic specifications.
• Work with laminators and quality control teams to ensure parts are completed to project standards.
• Perform minor repairs and touch-ups on visual parts as needed.

Contract: 6 months

Payment: Weekly pay via LTD

Rate: Discussed upon application

Tools: Own tools required

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the motorsport or high-performance automotive sectors.
• Proficiency in working with carbon fiber and composite materials.
• Strong knowledge of lamination techniques and trimming processes.
• Experience working with visual parts that require high aesthetic standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality parts.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have the right to work in the EU (for EU-based positions).
