Fanpage journalist and blogger Saverio Tommasi choose Ferragamo and other virtuous Companies for a reportage on the employment and inclusion of people with Down Syndrome. For Ferragamo the development of an open, welcoming and positive work environment is a fundamental requirement for the growth of the company itself and consequently was the first Italian Fashion house to respond to the global campaign “The Hiring Chain” hiring the first person with Down Syndrome in 2021 and it is also continuously supporting Associazione Trisomia 21 APS . We're thrilled to announce our successful pilot project in collaboration with SDA Bocconi (Monitor for Circular Fashion), UNIC - Concerie Italiane, ICEC, and CONCERIA ANTIBA on our iconic Fiamma Bag! This initiative focuses on implementing a data collection and management system to ensure traceability and due diligence in line with upcoming European regulations. We analyzed the full lifecycle of leather, from farm to assembly, and measured key circularity KPIs like durability, safe chemical use, and resource efficiency through an ISO14001 certified system. This month, we hit an exciting milestone at Ferragamo, launching our Employee Resource Group (ERG) for Corporate & the EMEA Region. This new ERG joins our global network across North America, Latam, Korea, Japan, and developing China & SEAP. Our ERGs are employee-driven communities united under the global “Empower Everyone” Program, championing initiatives that value minorities and promote people development. From women’s empowerment to workplace well-being and community involvement, each group tailors its actions to local needs while pushing forward our global commitment to inclusion and equity. This latest event was opened by our president Leonardo Ferragamo with CEO Marco Gobbetti, and Chief People Officer Camilla Maggiori. Gathering the passion and enthusiasm of over 300 colleagues from our Florence HQ and Milan offices, they sparked innovative ideas and initiatives, driving change from the ground up.
