#BrisbaneCityCouncil Kangaroo Point Bridge reached another important milestone through June 2024, with the erection of the last bridge deck module above the Brisbane River, which occurred after the successful completion of the installation and stressing of the last of the 32 cable stays supplied by #Tensa. #RizzanideEccher has played a key role, within the Connect Brisbane Consortium led by #BESIXWatpac, since the early design phases through temporary works development, shop drawing management, construction engineering, sequencing and planning, to ultimately ensure safe and smooth delivery of the bridge elements travelling via barge from the Port of Brisbane to the City, and lift in position by heavy-lift cranes. Our team consisted of specialized and experienced staff who has also helped the BESIX Watpac team in the early engineering, modelling and planning for other areas of the project such as the restaurant on the bridge, the Plaza works at CBD area and the high-quality finishes such as golden aluminum works supported on dedicated steel structures, and stainless steel balustrades.

On May 21, Rizzani de Eccher participated at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Rail Baltica Mainline in Riga. This significant event marks the start of work on a crucial infrastructure for the future of transportation in Europe. Rizzani de Eccher, together with its ERB Rail JV PS partners - Eiffage Génie Civil and Budimex - had the honor of taking part in this historic day, in the presence of important political figures. To mark the occasion, a time capsule containing symbolic objects was created and will be left at the construction site as a symbolic gesture to send a message to future generations. 👏 Another #milestone in the #RailBaltica project in Latvia reached by beginning construction of its #mainline. 🏗 On 21 May the Rail Baltica team, representatives from the European Commission and international partners from France, Italy, Poland, Lithuania and Estonia gathered in Riga to mark the occasion by sending messages to future generations through a time capsule to be embedded at the construction site. 🗣 “The significance of the Rail Baltica project in ensuring a fast and reliable connection for the Baltic region with Western Europe is particularly high in the current geopolitical conditions. The delivery of our shared ambition is to ensure a cross-border connection during the first phase of the Rail Baltica project by 2030, including the integration of Riga. Thus, the construction of the mainline is a top #priority,” explained minister of Transport of Latvia Kaspars Briškens. This includes 175 engineering structures, 11 animal crossings, 42 viaducts, 81 road bridges, and 32 rail bridges. ℹ The construction will proceed in sections, beginning with the first set of works in the Bauska region near Iecava, where the future Rail Baltica infrastructure maintenance facility will be located. The maintenance center will cover an area of approximately 16.5 hectares. These infrastructure maintenance points will serve as logistic bases during the construction of the Rail Baltica mainline, facilitating the construction of connections to the existing 1520 mm track network and maximizing the use of the railway for transporting construction materials and machinery. 💬 “This year, over 150 km of the Rail Baltica mainline will be under construction. This event was graced by numerous political figures such as Kaspars Briškens, Latvian Minister of Transport, Franck Riester our French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness, Catherine Trautmann, European Coordinator for the North Sea-Baltic TEN-T Corridor, Aurélie Royet-Gounin, French Ambassador to Latvia, Arvils Aseradens, Latvian Minister of Finance, Alessandro Monti, Italian Ambassador to Latvia or Grzegorz Jagielski, Polish Embassy Counselor for Political and Economic Affairs These leaders represented the key companies of the ERB Rail JV PS: Eiffage Génie Civil (France), Budimex (Poland), and Rizzani de Eccher (Italy). The ceremony was not only a celebration of the progress of the Rail Baltica high-speed line, which will span across the Baltic countries with a 230km section handled by the JV ERB Rail JV PS, but also an occasion for stakeholders, CEOs, such as ours CEOs Guillaume Sauvé and Olivier de Guinaumont who attended especially for the occasion, and teams to come together. 🤝A unique time capsule, containing message for the future authenticated by 18 signatories and symbolic objects, will be buried at the site to commemorate this collaborative effort and to send a message to future generations.
