Last month, the Kangaroo Point Bridge reached a significant milestone with the final bridge span installed and the concrete deck poured - resulting in a completed connection from the CBD to Kangaroo Point! The full connection and concreting of the bridge decks brings the project to 90% complete, with all major structural elements completed. The focus has now turned to completing the bridge landings at Kangaroo Point and CBD, and removing the temporary structures in the Brisbane River that have supported the building of the bridge. 🚅 #RailBaltica contractors - Lithuanian capital company Fegda, UAB and Italian company Rizzani de Eccher - had to solve the technological challenges of the longest bridge in the Baltic States. • Rizzani de Eccher is building the bridge structures, Fegda is building the retaining walls on the approaches to the bridge; • By working together, the contractors found the technological possibilities to install the retaining walls earlier, thus ensuring a smooth workflow; • In the construction of such a large-scale linear structure, intersecting design solutions are not uncommon; • In this case, the contractors' input, flexibility and ability to communicate will allow the project to move forward 🛠 Justas Vyžintas, LTG Infra Head for Rail Baltica Management, said that the speed of construction is one of the main priorities at the moment. Good progress on the Neris bridge construction in Lithuania. At the end of July 2024, contractor Rizzani de Eccher kicked off a new phase in the construction of the #RailBaltica bridge over the Neris River in Jonava district. Rail Baltica in Lithuania 🚧 Sheet pilings have been delivered to the site, marking the start of this stage. These will create a temporary protective perimeter, enabling the safe installation of bridge pile heads. 🌉 The Neris bridge is a massive 1.51-kilometer structure, making it not only the longest bridge in the Rail Baltica project but also one of the most complex infrastructure undertakings in Lithuania’s history. 🏗️ To date, substantial preparatory work has been completed, with 262 of the planned 376 piles already installed, utilizing 7.6 thousand cubic meters of concrete. 🚅 Rizzani de Eccher, the contractor of the #RailBaltica bridge over the Neris River, has started a new construction phase in the Jonava district, bringing sheet piles to the construction site.   "The complexity of the bridge over the Neris River is not only its length (1,51 km) but also its height (40 m). The Rail Baltica Lithuania team initiated a dialogue between the designer and the contractor, and appropriate technical solutions were found. #BrisbaneCityCouncil Kangaroo Point Bridge reached another important milestone through June 2024, with the erection of the last bridge deck module above the Brisbane River, which occurred after the successful completion of the installation and stressing of the last of the 32 cable stays supplied by #Tensa. #RizzanideEccher has played a key role, within the Connect Brisbane Consortium led by #BESIXWatpac, since the early design phases through temporary works development, shop drawing management, construction engineering, sequencing and planning, to ultimately ensure safe and smooth delivery of the bridge elements travelling via barge from the Port of Brisbane to the City, and lift in position by heavy-lift cranes. Our team consisted of specialized and experienced staff who has also helped the BESIX Watpac team in the early engineering, modelling and planning for other areas of the project such as the restaurant on the bridge, the Plaza works at CBD area and the high-quality finishes such as golden aluminum works supported on dedicated steel structures, and stainless steel balustrades.

On May 21, Rizzani de Eccher participated at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Rail Baltica Mainline in Riga. This significant event marks the start of work on a crucial infrastructure for the future of transportation in Europe.
