Fisher-Price is returning to its roots with the launch of a brand-new Wood toy range, 90 years after its landmark wooden line. These timeless toys are designed to spark open-ended play and made from FSC®-certified sources, so that they can be treasured for generations to come. A timelessness that’s important as 71% of parents enjoy seeing their younger family members play with toys they used to enjoy as children and that 64% prefer toys that can be kept in the family. Barbie is proud to be participating in the 2024 London Design Festival landmark project, 'Pavilions of Wonder,' in collaboration with Visit Greater Palm Springs. The installation, which is on until the 22nd September at the Strand Aldywch, fuses the vibrant essence of the Barbie DreamHouse with Greater Palm Springs' iconic midcentury modernism, bringing them to life in three captivating, interactive pavilions. The collaboration, as part of Barbie's 65th anniversary, showcases the evolution of the iconic DreamHouse, reflecting changing architectural and design trends while maintaining play as a core focus.   Since 1959, Barbie has been a driving force in fostering creativity and shaping cultural conversations globally. Last night Mattel EMEA rolled out the pink carpet in Milan, Italy to welcome BARBIE: A Cultural Icon Exhibition, a stunning exhibition that honours sixty-five years of fashion and inspiration, showcasing how Barbie is more than a doll; she is a cultural icon.  The exhibition celebrates Barbie as a reflection of culture, and takes an up-close look at vintage dolls, career representation and fashion trends, with over 250 dolls included this lands for the first time in Europe. A huge thank you to our exhibit partners Next Exhibition, curator Mario Paglino and all our partners involved.   The exhibition is now open until January 2025 at Via Paolo Sarpi 6/8 – Milano, Italy.
