Last week, we shared that the Danish Digital Agency found that 200 randomly selected websites were collecting data without visitors' consent. Specifically, 👉 42.2% of the sites had unclassified cookies; 👉 27.6% lacked information in their cookie banner; 👉 18.1% had no cookie banner at all. Most sites have now fixed the problem, but those that haven't risk a fine. If you have a website, you'll want to make sure you're complying with cookie regulations. It's more important than you might think. Here's the latest in #DataProtection & #Privacy News: 👉 After randomly selecting 200 websites, the Danish Digital Agency found that all of them were collecting data without visitors' consent. 👉 The Brazilian Federal Court issued a preliminary decision against WhatsApp for violating the General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD). 👉 The Kids Online Safety and Privacy Act passed in the U.S. Senate. For our #iubendacareers series, meet Moustafa, who joined our team in September 2020 as a Senior PHP Developer. At the beginning, he was mainly responsible for developing and maintaining our plugins for major CMS platforms, focusing on designing and implementing new features and integrations. He also worked closely with our Localization, Content, and Product teams, proposing the right technical solutions to their challenges. In June this year, a new team – the Plugins & Integrations team – was created, and Moustafa transitioned into a Senior Fullstack Developer role. While he remains involved in coding, his focus has shifted more toward communication and problem-solving tasks within the team. He ensures that all team members understand their tasks and stay on track to meet their goals. Additionally, he onboards new team members and collaborates with other teams to plan new projects and features. He shares: “I'm excited and comfortable in this new role, and I find great satisfaction in helping others resolve their issues and succeed.”
