⏳ GHELLA HISTORICAL PROJECT⏳ 🌊🚜 Did you know we worked on the construction of he Campania Acqueduct? The San Bartolomeo 800m length drainage tunnel, allows a water flow of 900 l/s of water participating to the overall Campania Acqueduct which allows to feed the entire city of Naples as well as the Naples and Caserta Provinces for a total population of ca 5million. The tunnel has been excavated through traditional methods. Together with such works, also the lifting plant and the discharge channel have been built. 😀 With the Sydney Metro City Line opening recently, we’re taking a moment to reflect on this incredible #journey. 🚇 As part of the #JHCPBG Joint Venture, Ghella built 15.5 kilometres of new twin #tunnels and six new #stations, including #Waterloo and the new #underground platforms of Central #Station. 😍 There's nothing like a bird's-eye view to showcase progress! 👀 Check out the transformation at Watercare Services Limited’s Central Interceptor Māngere Pump Station site from #July 2020 to now. 👷♂️ 👷♀️ The progress has been remarkable, with all efforts directed toward getting the southern section of the Central Interceptor #tunnel operational. The newly built pump #station features an impressive 40m deep shaft. Twin rising mains will carry flows from the pump station to the new confluence chamber, where several #Interceptors converge before reaching the #wastewater treatment plant. We've also completed a diversion chamber, biofilter, odour bed, and emergency pressure relief system. #ghella #ghella4future #infrastructure #tunneling #engineering

🤴🏻 On 12 December 2022, #King Harald V of #Norway was joined by the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Transport, and the CEO of Bane NOR to officially launch the Follo Line project, primarily constructed by the ACCIONA-Ghella JV. 🚆 Following the ceremony, the King travelled by train from Oslo to Ski, a trip that took just 11 minutes. ✌ Throwback Thursday! 😎 #Innovative methodologies and industrialized processes have helped #build the Legacy Way #tunnel in an efficient way maintaining high production performance which was mandatory in order to keep up with the tight program schedule. Innovative method for assembly and disassembly of the TBMs in confined space and original launching #method has allowed to complete the relevant operation in a much shorter time. #Construction through drill and blast of an innovative 400 meters spoil conveyor tunnel, built purposely to continue the #TBM conveyors system straight to the quarry, has abolished 96,000 #trucks from the #roads. ⏳ GHELLA HISTORICAL PROJECT⏳ 🚇✨ Discover our historical work on the Rome Metro Line A! 🏗️ The Cavour - San Pietro in Vincoli - #Colosseo section of the #Rome Metro Line A was the most complicated part of the entire #Metro Line due to the open excavation happening through the busy via Cavour and the #historical buildings including the Colosseum. 🏛️ It was expected to be completed in 1942 for the Universal Exhibition although in 1940 it was put in stand by due to the second World War. At such date, the 1,630m tunnel from #Termini to #Arco di #Costantino had already been completed. Only the Colosseo connection was to be built while the Giovanni Lanza station, due to a modification to the initial design, was still to be built. 🛠️ During the War, the tunnels were used as Underground Air Shelters together with other tunnels, ramified from the existing ones, built purposely for protection of local #population.
