SMC, a process and a reinforced composite material at the same time, makes use of chopped glass or composite fibers and thermoset resin for a range of applications from electrical components to structural components for automotive and transit. This manufacturing process allows for extremely high volume production rates with excellent part reproducibility. It provides a level of flexibility that similar processes cannot offer through its ability to integrate multiple parts.
