We recently ditched almost all (95% to be exact - we're working on the rest!) of our plastic air pillows from customer deliveries in North America. Instead, we use recyclable paper that offers the same – if not better – protection for customers’ orders. With this change, we’re avoiding about 15 billion plastic air pillows every year. Meet Faud Ali, a Seattle-based driver for Amazon. On what seemed like another normal day on his delivery route, a house in Burien, Washington, caught fire, and Ali went the extra mile.
