Actuary – Commercial P&C Reserving

Insurance Placement Solutions has an immediate opening for a remote Actuary with expertise in Commercial Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance reserving for a 6-month contract position. As a member of our client’s team, you will utilize your skills to conduct reserving activities, analyze loss data, and contribute to strategic initiatives in accordance with industry regulations and company guidelines.

Actuary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct reserving activities for commercial P&C insurance lines.
• Analyze loss data and trends to estimate reserves accurately.
• Develop and maintain dashboards for monitoring key performance indicators.
• Assist in risk analysis initiatives and special projects.
• Participate in annual planning processes and forecasting efforts.

Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in commercial P&C reserving.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Strong skills in VBA for automation and programming tasks.
• Familiarity with reserving-specific software like ARIUS (preferred).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
