Shared ownership in the spotlight |
| One of Ownership Works’ top charges as an organization is to raise awareness of and inspire a groundswell of support for shared ownership. That’s why I’m delighted to highlight that the shared
ownership movement – and the leaders working within it – have benefited from a huge burst in exposure, interest, and momentum over the past few weeks.
In early May, Ownership Works’ Founder and Chairman, Pete Stavros, was featured on CBS News’ "60 Minutes" in a segment that exposed millions of viewers to the benefits of shared ownership. Later that month, private equity giant Blackstone announced that it will implement broad-based employee ownership in its portfolio. Due to this exposure, there is an exciting influx of new firms interested in working with Ownership Works to introduce shared ownership into their portfolios.
This is the flywheel effect in action, and it is pushing our mission forward!
In my last note, I wrote about the integral role that Ownership Works’ partners play in the movement’s success. With this spotlight
shining on the mission, our partnerships are more important than ever in showing the world how broad-based employee ownership is creating transformative change for companies and workers.
Ownership Works is ready to capitalize on the momentum that is catapulting the shared ownership movement forward. With the support of our partners, we're making our 2030 goal – to generate $20 billion of wealth for workers – a reality.

To date, 101 companies have implemented shared ownership programs across 14 industries. Recent program launches include siffron, Hunter Onsite, and CIRCOR. Thanks to these new programs, over 3,700 additional employees are now owners in their companies! |
