THE PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE IN NEW MEDIA ART, 2020

The NMA includes a very wide art scene but bridges the gap because all of the arts involved are using new technologies and are related to the so-called digital world.
The obsolescence is a very common issue in the New Media Art field because it influences and determines the practices of conservation and reproduction of the artworks. The computational programs and Machine Learning algorithms, increasingly used by artists, have changed the nature of NMA also thanks to their endless possibilities and the power of Neural Networks.
