Of these, 140 responses were complete, and the data were analyzed using structural equation modelling approach and SMART-PLS 2.0 software. Findings Perceived benefits, cost, customer pressure and organizational readiness were found to have a significant relationship with Halal manufacturers’ intention to adopt Halal warehousing services. Perceived benefits, customer pressure and organizational readiness were the drivers of adoption, and cost was a barrier. This research applies Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Social Capital Theory (SCT) to determine the factors associated with Malaysian academic's KS intention in HLIs. The results indicate that social networking is an important factor of academics’ attitude to KS, while commitment and trust do not influence their attitude to KS. Using social media is found to be a significant factor of perceived behavioral control towards KS. Further, academics’ attitude to KS and perceived behavioral control towards KS are found to be significant determinants of their KS intention, while management support for subjective norm of KS is not significant for KS intention.

The findings revealed that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived risk, and electronic word-ofmouth (e-WOM) directly influenced the attitude and has an indirect effect on intention with the presence of attitude. The development of tourism marketing and communication strategies should focus on the online context as the factors which are capable of influencing tourists’ behavior in a more efficient way.

Therefore, data were collected through a survey from 226 Chinese outbound tourists in Glasgow city, United Kingdom and was analyzed to provide evidence. Based on the results, the analysis of partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) using the Smart PLS 3.0 program indicated that self-congruity was mediated partially through destination brand personality and revisit intention. In tourism destination, Aaker five dimension of brand personality model was particularly adapted into practice. However, the model failed to perform an actual self-congruity to mediate all five dimensions (i.e., sincerity, excitement, competence, excitement, sophistication and ruggedness) of destination brand personality and revisit intention. The results revealed that the ideal self-congrui...

SMEs form over 90% of all business entities in Malaysia and they have been contributing to the development of the nation. Technology adoption has been a thorn issue among SMEs as they require big outlay which might not be available to the SMEs. Although resource has been an issue among SMEs they cannot lie low and ignore the technological advancements that are taking place at a rapid pace. With that in mind this paper proposes a model to explain the technology adoption issue among SMEs.

This research adapts the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to determine academics’ KS intention in Malaysian IHL.Partial least square SEM is used for analysis.Respondents consist of 45 academics acquired from 399 surveys. Results show that only social network is a significant factor in academics’ attitude towards KS intention, while commitment and trust are not.Management support, social media towards subjective norm, and PBC are significant factors for KS intention.Subsequently, attitude and PBC are significant determinants of intention to share and subjective norm is not significant. The findings of this study enable IHL’s management to identify the factors to focus on when addressing the issues pertaining to hiring academics.

With a case study of a developing country, this paper also aimed to determine whether the mean score of these preferences differed significantly with regard to students’ gender, nationality, race and study level. Structured questionnaires were administrated to 850 residence hall students, and 752 questionnaires were usable out of these numbers. The result of the study indicated that free internet access, lockable storage space and mirror inside student’s room, water machine and variety of food in food stall were the 5 most preferred facilities in the residence halls. Additionally, this study highlighted the importance of some specific facilities such as kitchen, laundry monitoring system and 24 h available taxi from students’ perspective. Due to the sustainable development issue, the concept of green entrepreneurship is gaining a significant momentum. This study investigates the inclination towards green entrepreneurship among 100 business students who represent the Generation Y cohort. Specifically, it aims to examine the effects of sustainable orientation, sustainable education and general self-efficacy on green entrepreneurship inclination. An empirical test was carried out and the findings showed that sustainable orientation and sustainable education are found to have statistically significant relationships with the inclination towards green entrepreneurship among generation Y. Self-efficacy on the one hand was found to be non-significant. It is anticipated that the findings of the study could serve as a guideline for the educators and policymakers in formulating curriculum and policies that are aligned with the go-green avowal.

This usability can influence end users’ attitude and behavior to use IT. The purpose of this paper was to examine the interface usability of a popular Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software system, SAP, and to identify related issues and implications to the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). A survey was conducted of 112 SAP ERP users from an organization in the heavy metal industry in Bangladesh. The partial least squares technique was used to analyze the survey data. The survey findings empirically confirmed that interface usability has a significant impact on users’ perceptions of usefulness and ease of use which ultimately affects attitudes and intention to use the ERP software. The research model extends the TAM by incorporating three criteria of interface usability....

Design/methodology/approach A perceived lack of intention to buy green products observed among the Malaysian Generation Young consumers has sparked the interest to carry out this study. With the aid of structured questionnaires, data were collected from a total of 217 respondents, between 18 and 25 years of age. Findings The results of data analysis indicated that environmental consciousness, eco-label, price and advertising were significant predictors of green product buying behaviour. Contrary to the hypothesis, attitude was not a significant predictor of green buying behaviour among young consumers. The implications of these findings and directions for future research are outlined at the end of this paper. Originality/value This study offers empirical insights from the perspective of an emerging economy on the determinants of green p...

The outsourcing dilemma surrounds the issue on the factors that influence the outsourcing decisions. Therefore, this study attempts to examine what factors may influence the decision of the SME owners to outsource their business processes. A data sample of 100 SMEs was analyzed to examine the relationship between the factors (business owners’ characteristics, environmental dynamism and strategic orientation) and the decision to outsource more of their business processes which is measured through degree of outsourcing of the respondents. The analysis was then conducted via partial least squares. The results showed several interesting findings: (i) business owners’ characteristics encouraged SME founders/owners to outsource more of their business processes, (ii) environmental dynamism has a negative significant impact on the degree of outsourcing...

The model, which reflects both barriers and inducements of switching, is developed based on the “mooring” and “pull” concepts in the migration literature. Design/methodology/approach Focusing on Generation Y mobile internet subscribers, the study analyzed a total of 417 usable questionnaire responses. Partial least squares structural equation modeling was used to test the research model. Findings The results show that first, satisfaction and switching barriers (i.e. a focal firm’s marketing innovation initiatives, switching costs, inertia, and local network effects) are positively related to customer loyalty; second, switching barriers have a stronger influence on customer loyalty compared with satisfaction; third, switching inducements (i.e. competitors’ marketing innovation initiatives, alternative attrac...

The current study investigates 1. The relationship between EO and Manufacturing SMEs performance and 2. The moderating effect of intra- and extra-industry network in EO and manufacturing SMEs performance relationship. Quantitative method was done through survey. The population of this study was industrial SMEs in Tehran and Hamedan. Proportionate stratified random sampling was employed and out of 580 questionnaires sent out, only 150 questionnaires were returned. The result implies that the dimensions of EO positively improved manufacturing SMEs performance. In addition the result shows that the high intra-industry network strongly moderates the relationship between innovativeness and growth-profit ability and also strongly moderates the relationship between risk-taking...
