This paper presents an Intelligence Lighting Control System which integrates few modules consists... more This paper presents an Intelligence Lighting Control System which integrates few modules consists of infrared (IR) sensor, microcontroller, light dependent resistor (LDR), light emitting diode (LED), Bluetooth and Arduino. All modules are integrated to control the dimness as well as the correlated color temperature of specific room via Android application. The main objective of the intelligence lighting control system is to provide users comfort by controlling the dimness and correlated colour temperature of a specific room according to specific requirements of a room. Other contribution of this project is proposed a method to reduce energy consumption of lighting system. It can be said that this project provide a trade-off between user’s comfort and energy consumption based. User can use their smartphone to adjust the Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) and the dimness through android application. As for energy efficiency, the android application for ideal luminance suggests the suitable luminance for the room with specified parameters of the room.

Dengue disease happened in Malaysia where many death cases detected in an urban area which impacts Malaysian society. Many steps have been taken in action to identify patients and alert of dengue attacks but lack of cares and actions. Human dengue attacks are analyzed through body temperature levels and blood test on a human. Currently, patients face problems to meet doctors due to a long queue at hospitals and it takes time to identify the dengue attacks. A design of the mobile system on dengue alert and patient’s alert to their condition is developed. This system helps patients to alert their condition on dengue attack. The method involves a system that using apps that users have to register and fill out the form that provided in the apps. The temperature level and the blood test is tested manually using dengue kit. Then users need to enter the data in the apps to check their health status. The results than save on the website and then send to the users and hospitals. The system benefits society as an easy and time saved in tracking possible dengue attack. It is also significant to medical officers in managing patients easier and faster where an Internet of Things system concept is designed and proposed which is valuable to Malaysian society.

This paper presents a non-invasive breath test to monitor the condition of diabetic patients. It ... more This paper presents a non-invasive breath test to monitor the condition of diabetic patients. It is identified as an easier technique and quick diagnoses of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). DKA is a preventable acute complication of type 1 diabetes mellitus. Common diabetic test on patients are done on urinary test and blood ketone test to monitor for diabetes condition. However, those methods are considers as invasive, inconvenient and expensive. Recently, breath acetone has been considered as a new ketone biomarker because it is non-invasive, convenient, and accurate reflection of the body's ketone level. This research presents a method of monitoring ketone level by using breath measurement. Main objective of this research is to present an easy handheld health care on monitoring diabetic level with breath. Method consists of development of hardware connection with Internet of Things (IoT) system to facilitate the process of patients' diagnosis and personal monitoring. In this system, Arduino board is used to read the sensor with sense the breath. Breath value level is log to system using wireless communication. Data collection is interfaced to web page. Ketone level is measured as the amount of breath acetone is collected when patients exhale into a mouthpiece that consists of gas sensor. The reading from Arduino is shared to the database via ESP 8266 Wi-Fi Module and can be accessed by the patients or registered doctors. This research is significant where patients can independently monitor their diabetic health and the IoT system can be alerted directly to medial officers in the hospitals.

Managing resources in wireless communication is a crucial task to ensure demand is satisfied at a... more Managing resources in wireless communication is a crucial task to ensure demand is satisfied at a minimal operational cost. This includes managing constraints such as co-frequency, adjacent frequency and co-site so that interference is avoided. Any occurrence of interference will affect the quality of communication conducted between parties involved. Therefore, a good and efficient method is required to achieve this objective. In this paper, a simple randomized constructive heuristic was investigated for good quality solutions. The proposed method was utilized on new problem instances; varying in difficulties and complexity environment. Two hundred problem instances were generated for this purpose. The results obtained demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method on this problem domain.

This paper presents a development of a Home Automation Security with Laser Lights Alarm that inte... more This paper presents a development of a Home Automation Security with Laser Lights Alarm that interfaces with web pages and Mobile apps. This system is designed to improve the security of a large space area like the factory from the robbery. A new development system using Raspberry Pi controllers which interface with Windows Mobile users and web pages which comprised on design system, hardware and sensors connections with programmed coding. Laser beam module and passive infrared (PIR) sensor are installed at a selected area to be protected to detect the intruder. Alerts lights are installed in a selected area. Lights are ON followed by alert's area when the laser is crossed out by intruders and PIR sensor detects changes of infrared radiation. Installed buzzers also are alert with sounds. LED lights are used to save energy consumed by lights. The alert message is sent out to mobile users and webpage. Reminder features of security activated set are also designed on the mobile apps. The prototype system is successfully developed and tested. The analysis shows there are 148 incoming messages and 196 of outgoing messages has been sent and delivered in 5 tested days. A total of 1157 of requests has been made by this system's software to the server and the results show 100% of the connection is successful. This research is significant for recent security issues on high rated of burglars for a large area. A large area security system is beneficial by implementing this system's concept of lights alert built that interfaces with mobile and webpage.

It is a simple application that can be used by lecturers at universities. The lecturers’ laptops connected to a video projector, with access to wireless network and the students’ smartphones, tablets or laptops could be utilized to enhance students-lecturer interactions, as well as boost students’ motivations, engagements and learning. The aims of this paper is to show the results from students’ response on Kahoot as one of the assessment tools. Kahoot was used during quizzes session in a classroom for a particular topic. Students were given limited times to answer each question displayed in the classroom. The results show that more than 90% students agreed that Kahoot is an enjoyable assessment tool in a classroom. More than 75% of students provided positive feedbacks on Kahoot. Based on the results, we conclude that Kahoot could be used as one of the assessment tools in a classroom.

Users body exercise movement on cycling while focusing on virtual reality video games are presented and analysed. The project would motivate citizen to increase their health and stamina while experiences with fun games in doing exercises. The objective is to design a prototype exercises bicycle that can control VR game using smartphone power by Arduino Uno controller. Secondly, communications control with wireless connection between Arduino Uno and smartphone is developed. Then data collection and analysed on users' exercise of the prototype VR bicycle is presented on heartbeat rate, cycle speed, game finishing time, travelled distance and stamina levels. The methodology comprised of hardware, software and programming system development using paddling sensor, handling sensor and balancing sensor for collected data. Deep data analytics on health and stamina levels are measured and analysed using Fusionex GIANT platform. Result presents a prototype of Interactive Indoor exercise cycling movement with video games is programmed to makes an enjoy movement while data analytics is presented from the movement of the human body. Analytics data on heartbeat, speed of cycling, time taken to finish, travelled distance and stamina levels on the gaming challenge are analysed. This project benefits to society to keep their fitness and healthy activities with fun games. Prototype also benefits stroke patients for bike exercises assistant.

Internet of Things (IoT) communication provides connections of more objects and services to the I... more Internet of Things (IoT) communication provides connections of more objects and services to the Internet which involves a Secured Internet Office Network environment. Internet office is an important environment where issues on security have been regularly discussed which impact education, communication, business, government, and others. Recent small internet office network has implemented VLAN, DHCP, Cisco ASA Firewall, wireless access point and registration Server but IoT is enhanced from time to time. This paper presents the implementation of simulation of IoT onto a secured small office network by using the Cisco Packet Tracer a network simulator software. A simulation of Internet office network with IoT systems services on motion detection system, door lock system and smoke detection system were developed. Due to security concerns, several security protocols have been integrated such as SSL VPN, ASA Firewall security level and WPA2-PSK authentication. The result has successfully shown the data for smoke level over time taken and the door lock system's scenarios based on the RFID setup. The implementation of the IoT, network design and configuration and integration of the security protocols have been successfully implemented using the Cisco Packet Tracer.

The security system is the most important application that protects several threats from inside a... more The security system is the most important application that protects several threats from inside and outside of an organization. The purposes of several security building applications such as the system will know criminals, disgruntled former employees enter the workplace, and enabling building security to work proactively for ensuring that associates and customers are safe from harm. By implementing face detection and recognition of the security system, video surveillance in the building can be improved by upgrading the system of video surveillance with artificial intelligence. The aim of the research is to develop the face detection and recognition in the security system in the building with recognizing human faces and image capture to the cloud storage. The result shows that the video will stream and recognize human faces whether the person is authorized or unauthorized in the system image using Raspberry Pi 3. For analysis purpose, the image captured and stored from the two type of cloud storage namely Cloudinary and Dropbox had been analyzed. Based on the analysis, the image captured and stored into Dropbox cloud storage give the best performance features which gained more 75% of quality images.

Recently, Skype is identified as one of the most online video media applications used in today's network communication. Before, people communicate through Skype using telephone line where it is very costly. Today, UniFi broadband network give better bandwidth for Skype users and more cheaper solution. However, it is important to determine whether the bandwidth offered by UniFi is fully utilized by the users as they consistently pay for it. The objectives of this research is to analyze multimedia Skype traffic characteristics such as usage of bandwidth, round trip time (RTT), and packet loss, Skype protocol, and Skype traffic model. The method involved establishing both video and voice calls at different time using Skype of home UniFi where one of the users runs the Wireshark to capture the traffic. Data are collected in schedule time and analyzed using MATLAB software. Collected data are analyzed on total of bandwidth usage and type of protocol used. Comparison is being made between different protocols used in time. Then, Skype traffic model is identified by fitted the raw data. Two-parameter Cumulative Distributions Functions (CDF) is generated. Maximum Likelihood Estimator (MLE) technique is used to get the best traffic model which presents the highest MLE value. Result presents that Skype is using UDP protocol more than TCP protocol and the bandwidth usage is underutilized where only 10% of bandwidth is used from the offered committed access rate paid on the access bandwidth line. This study is significant in developing a dynamic committed access rate algorithms line which would benefits the broadband network users.
