To achieve this goal, we selected a group of thirty school level basketball players, aged 14 to 17, from the National Sports Academy in Coimbatore. These players were evenly divided into two groups, with no deliberate attempt to make them equal. The first group, known as the Experimental Group (Group I), underwent an eight weeks training program that focused on isometric strength training with specific drills (ISTWSDG). In contrast, the second group, named the Control Group (Group II), did not receive any additional training beyond their regular activities, serving as a comparative baseline. Lower body strength endurance was assessed using the agility hurdle jump test, while leg strength was measured through the wall squat test. The data collected from the participants underwent statistical analysis using the 't' ratio to identify any statistically significant improvements at a confidence level of 0.05. The results revealed significant enhancements in both lower body strength endurance and leg strength among participants who underwent isometric strength training with specific drills. These improvements were observed despite potential limitations related to factors such as diet, climate, lifestyle, and prior training experiences. Encouragingly, these findings were consistent with research conducted by experts in the field of sports sciences. Collectively, the evidence suggests that isometric strength training with specific drills has a notable positive impact on the lower body strength endurance and leg strength of school level basketball players.

To accomplish this goal, a sample of five school level boys basketball players aged between 14 and 17 years was randomly selected from the National Sports School in Coimbatore district. A single-group design was employed for the study. The assessment of strength factors was conducted using standardized tests. Leg strength was evaluated using the wall squat test, core strength was measured through the plank test, lower back strength was assessed using the back extension test, and lower body strength endurance was evaluated with the agility hurdle jump test. These tests provided objective measures of the players' strength capabilities across different muscle groups and functional movements relevant to basketball. The selected participants underwent a four-week isometric strength training program with specific drills. The pilot study group, consisting of five participants, engaged in targeted exercises designed to improve strength factors directly related to basketball performance. The drills were carefully tailored to replicate the movements and demands encountered during basketball gameplay, ensuring the training's specificity and applicability to on-court performance. After the completion of the training program, the collected data was analyzed using a paired t-test. This statistical analysis aimed to determine whether there were any significant improvements in the assessed strength factors following the four-week intervention. A confidence level of 0.05 was utilized to ascertain the statistical significance of any observed improvements, ensuring that the findings were reliable and not attributable to chance. The results of the study indicated a significant difference in the criterion variables. This difference was attributed to the specific drills administered to the experimental group, which resulted in notable improvements in leg strength, core strength, lower back strength, and lower body strength endurance among school-level basketball players.

Isotonic strength training is an important part of any basketball player's training regimen. This type of training uses resistance bands, weights, or the body's own weight to strengthen muscles, increase power, and improve agility. Isotonic strength training can be used in conjunction with other basketball-specific exercises, such as plyometrics, agility drills and jump training. One of the main benefits of isotonic strength training for basketball players is the ability to improve their performance on the court. During isotonic strength training, athletes are using their own body weight to perform exercises. Finally, isotonic strength training can help basketball players reduce the risk of injury. By focusing on strengthening the muscles and tendons that are responsible for their movements, they are reducing the likelihood of injuring themselves when performing on the court. Therefore, all basketball players should consider incorporating isotonic strength training into their training routine.

These students fully participated in all training sessions during two weeks of the training schedule. During this practice they did not take any other treatment. All participants were randomized into two groups. Group-I-Yoga Asanas, Group-II-Yoga Nindra. The Anxiety levels of all these students were assessed before starting the program and after the completion of two weeks training procedure. Results-The calculated value of t is 0.63 which is less than the tabulated value of t which is 1.98 at 0.05 level of significance (p<0.05), therefore there is no significant difference existing between the yoga asana group and yoga Nidra group at the initial stage, before the training was applied to both the groups. The calculated value of t is 3.00 which is higher than the tabulated value of t which is 1.98 at 0.05 level of significance (p>0.05), therefore there exist a significant difference in the anxiety level between the yoga asana group and yoga Nidra group at the later stage at the end of the training. Hence it can be said that the yoga Nidra training helped in remarkable improvement in lowering the anxiety level of the Yoga Nidra group in comparison to the yoga asana group of volleyball players.
