Scenario-based interview questions are the most difficult part to handle, and this question is asked to almost everyone. If you are looking for lead or senior roles, then this question is coming to you for sure. How will you estimate the following for your data pipeline? 1. Number of executors 2. Executor CPU 3. Executor memory 4. Job completion time The interviewer wants to know how you will ensure you meet your SLA. Let's assume your Job must finish in 30 minutes. So, how do you calculate how much CPU and Memory is required to meet the 30-minute SLA? Further, how will we handle unexpected increases in data volume by 30-40%? The interviewer will most often not provide any details of the job and data volume. If you complain about the lack of information, they will ask you to make assumptions and explain your approach.
