HamiltonJet in India HamiltonJet have been active in India for over 30 years, with 150 vessels constructed using HJ waterjets for the Army, Navy and Coast Guard, plus pilot vessels and fast ferries. A senior delegation including Ben Reed, our Managing Director and our Distributor Varya Tech recently visited the Indian Coast Guard to discuss the forthcoming tender for 14 fast patrol vessels. The delegation discussed HamiltonJet’s commitment to the project and our strategy for Indian sourcing, in line with the Make In India requirements. A visit was also made to the builder for this project, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, prior to detailed technical meetings. We look forward to continuing this legacy in a country that our founders have a special connection to, going back to the famous Ocean to Sky expedition by Edmund Hillary and the Hamilton family.

New Contract Signed with Cochin Shipyard Limited for Nitrogen Generators for CSOV Vessels Varya Tech’s OEM partner, M/s. Air Products AS Norway, has successfully signed a contract with Cochin Shipyard Limited for the supply of two shipsets of Nitrogen Generators for Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs). These vessels are being built for M/s. Pelagic Wind Service Ltd., Cyprus, with equipment delivery scheduled between Q1 and Q2 of 2025. The Nitrogen System is essential for the inert gas purging and padding of methanol systems, tanks, and cofferdams surrounding the methanol tanks. The CSOVs, based on the Kongsberg UT 5520 MH design, are methanol-based dual-fuel electric hybrid vessels, ready for Low Flashpoint Liquid (LFL) fuel. The Nitrogen Generators, with a capacity of 60 Nm³/hr. at 97% purity, include N2 membranes, buffer tanks, compressors, control panels, and necessary valves are part of the package. The system's monitoring will be integrated into the vessel’s automation system for critical Emergency Shutdown (ESD). Varya Tech Private Limited (Formerly known as Norinco Pvt.
