UPL SAS recently conducted an extensive training programme on Modern Technologies in Structural Termite Management in Mumbai, organized by the Pest Management Professionals Welfare Association (PMPWAM). Mr. Pradeep Khopade , Lead of Institutional Business - ALP – Fumigation led the training. The event saw participation from about 200 attendees. Detailed insights into our Termite Management products for Public Health and the ALP Fumigants division were presented. India’s agricultural landscape is vast, unique and challenging. Over 130 million farmers, 85% of whom are smallholders, are spread across 300 million hectares of farmland. We are excited to announce the appointment of John Fred as UPL Corp’s new Chief Legal Officer. John, who will be part of the Crop Protection Executive Team, will be responsible for all legal matters in our global crop protection business. John has been with UPL Corp since April 2024, initially joining as North America Legal Head. With over 15 years of experience as a strategic legal advisor in the agricultural and life sciences industries, he brings a wealth of expertise in international legal issues and cross-border transactions. Before joining UPL, John held senior legal roles at Bayer and BASF, helping lead legal support in the Crop Science/Agricultural Solutions and Pharmaceuticals fields. He also served as a federal appellate clerk and practiced antitrust law in Washington, DC. We’re excited for him to lead our legal efforts as we continue to drive innovation and excellence across our global operations.

We are delighted to share that UPL, in collaboration with Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) and the district administration, inaugurated the newly developed and beautified Padma Bhushan Shri Rajnikant Shroff Sarovar & Udyan, located at Shela Lake in Ahmedabad. The inauguration event was graced by Shri Amit Shah, Honourable Member of Parliament (Gandhinagar), Central Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Government of India; Shri Kanubhai Patel, Honourable Member of Gujarat Legislative Assembly (Sanand), Smt. Kanchanba Vaghela, Honourable President of Zilla Panchayat, Ahmedabad, and Shri Vikram Shroff, Vice-Chairman & Co-CEO of UPL. Spanning an area of 8.2 hectares, the project aims to provide state-of-the-art public amenities to the local community. The lake area, developed with a capacity of 5 million litres, enhances the site’s aesthetics with a beautifully crafted artificial lake. The public park area spans ~14,000 sq. meters and features an open-air theatre, lush lawns, and horticultural landscaping supported by a drip irrigation system. Adding to the project’s community-centric approach, a cattle trough area has been developed with three troughs designed to cater to animals. Vikram Shroff, Vice-Chairman & Co-CEO of UPL, said, “At UPL, we are deeply committed to creating sustainable solutions that benefit communities and enhance their well-being.
