Torrent Pharma, with annual revenues of more than Rs 9,600 crores, is the flagship Company of the Torrent Group, with group revenues of Rs 37,600 crores. (BPI) a generic pharmaceuticals and OTC Company, based in Levittown Pennsylvania, USA, which also included a US FDA registered manufacturing facility. Today, the Company has presence in more than 40 countries and is ranked No. 1 among the Indian pharma Companies in Brazil, Germany and Philippines. 2024 marks the Birth Centenary of our Founder, Late Shri Uttambhai Nathalal Mehta (U. N. Mehta). Born on 14th January 1924, he is remembered for his strong resolve, principled life, and humanitarian philosophy. At Torrent, his Birth Centenary is a momentous occasion as we celebrate his contributions to business and society. The key highlights of the centenary celebrations were the screening of “The Prescription,” a documentary film on his life, and the announcement of a charitable donation to honor his legacy. Over the next 5 years, commencing from 1st April 2024, Mehta family & Torrent Group will donate a sum of Rs 5,000 crores (Rupees Five Thousand Crores) to the UNM Foundation. This contribution will be over and above the statutory CSR contributions of the Torrent Group companies. This year marks the Birth Centenary of this visionary entrepreneur and philanthropist. On March 30, 2024, the Mehta Family of Torrent Group organized a celebration to honor his legacy.
