On 16th October 2024, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka formally inaugurated the Cauvery Stage V project, a pivotal initiative undertaken by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (#BWSSB). This ambitious project, funded by JICA, is set to provide an additional 775 MLD of potable water to #Bengaluru, benefiting approximately 50 lakh residents. Key project highlights include: #WaterTreatmentPlant (#WTP): A 775 MLD plant located at T K Halli #PumpingSystem: A three-stage pumping setup with a total head of 445 metres, supplying water via Mild Steel pipelines (3000 mm dia.) over a 70 km stretch #CityTrunkMains: Mild Steel pipelines (2200 mm to 400 mm dia.) spanning 120 km, delivering water to Ground Level Reservoirs (GLRs) across Bengaluru #Reservoirs: RCC Clear Water Reservoirs (64 ML & 2 of 32 ML) and groundwater reservoirs with capacities ranging from 11 ML to 50 ML #AdvancedSystems: The project integrates cutting-edge Electro-mechanical, Automation, and SCADA systems across key locations – T K Halli, Harohalli, and Tataguni Tata Consulting Engineers Limited (#TCE), in collaboration with joint venture partners, played a pivotal role in the successful delivery of this monumental project. Enhancing Water Supply for Bengaluru! The trial run of the Cauvery Stage V Project of the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) is nearing completion, with successful commissioning underway. This ambitious project, funded by JICA, is set to provide an additional 775 MLD of potable water to the city of Bengaluru, benefiting around 50 lakh residents. Tata Consulting Engineers Limited (#TCE), in collaboration with its JV partners, is proud to provide #ProjectManagementConsultancy (#PMC) services for this landmark initiative. The water from the T K Halli water treatment plant is conveyed to Bengaluru through an extensive three-stage pumping system covering 190 km, with a total head of 445 m.
